    I'm in for draft chat.

Although truthfully, as we are already seeing, the draft portion of the draft is totally uncompelling. Trades are where it is at.

I wonder what Boston is thinking right now? I saw that Philly is trying to move Elton Brand. And maybe the Lakers can find a sucker to take Sasha.

No big surprise, Blake Griffin #1 overall to the Clippers. They didn't screw it up... yet.

Just saw that the rumors of Camby to San Antonio are heating up.

Also it sure is nice to not have to worry about holdouts and contract disputes, everyone knows what Blake is going to get paid and there is no negotiating it.

Condolences to Blake Griffin, who will now have a lousy and frustrating career.

I agree. The trades today have made for probably more interesting discussion than the actual draft. Some big names have been moved today, and other big names rumored. Very interesting to see what happens between now and the start of free agency. Just about every team has been mentioned in some pretty big rumors. Should be fun!

There are some things that the NBA does miserably wrong, and some that they do right. The NBA rookie salary structure is DEFINITELY right. Guys know what they're going to make, they aren't ridiculously overpaid (comparatively speaking) and they get the chance to make up for it on their second contract.

I would not be happy of rumors of Camby to the Spurs. The Jazz need to see if they can get in on some sort of deal. Standing pat won't work if they want to be better than a first round exit.

what does SA have to give up to get him? That would be a huge addition, along with yesterday's get.

I also saw an article on foxsports saying that Yao's foot refuses to heal itself. I am going on record as predicting another Yao injury next season....although that it about as risky as predicting that the sun will rise or that Charles Barkley will be arrested.

                  #2 is Hasheem Thabeet

Great pick if he is the second coming of Dikembe Mutumbo. I don't think that he is. I would have liked the pick more if Memphis had a low-post scoring threat. Oklahoma City would have been a great place for him, since they have Westbrook, Green and Durrant who can score the ball.

You also have to wonder if the Grizzlies are going to try and move the pick now. Minnesota maybe?

Although 10 minutes ago I knew this would happen, immediately after the drafting of Griffin I was overwhelmed with a huge sense of apathy towards any of these other draft candidates.

Let's get some trades going! Come on, GMs....hit those phones!

The first "little" surprise, James Harden going #3 to Arizona State. Ricky Rubio to Sacramento at #4? Or does he slide to Minnesota or even New York?

Trades involving draft picks now have to take place after all picks have been made. So there are probably some coming down, we just have to wait until the picks are made. Chances are, we'll hear about some more in 30-minutes to an hour.

James Harden rocking the bow tie. Not sure that I'm really digging it with the vest. His interview isn't going very smoothly. Less than impressed.

Sacto's pick is in. Do they go with Rubio or Tyreke Evans?

Ricky Rubio has to be VERY upset right now. Losing some money dropping from the top 3 to at best number 5. It especially hurts Rubio because he has to pay so much of his buyout.

I imagine Minnesota's phones are ringing off the hook right now with trade offers for the #5/6 pick. I'd guess New York wants to move up to snag him. Maybe Minnesota is interested enough to take him here. I can't see him sliding past New York at #8.

To kill some time, how about a Draft Day classic...

And a modern Draft Day disaster....
