Well, because he thought it was good sport. Because some men aren't looking for anything logical, like money. They can't be bought, bullied, reasoned, or negotiated with. Some men just want to watch the world burn.

I'm thinking this is the year of the "unexpected winner."

Oosthuizen - He's on fire with a near loss at the match play two weeks ago. His game is on.
Troy Merritt - Guy is always around the leaders lately.
Stenson - He won't win, but he'll show up and help my 4 man team.
Bill Haas - It could be his week. He's playing well, and was a recent winner.

Jason Day - He'll be in the top 10 and help my team.
Adam Scott - He's red hot and will win by 2 on Sunday afternoon.

                  Notes:

Phil wouldn't have made it - if not for being a former winner.
Speith needs to get his personal life under control and get back to golf.
Bubba would be a good pick. Left at Augusta is a good thing.
                  Tiger who?

I like Justin Rose. The Masters is all about the short game.

Part of it is based on academic grounds. Among major conferences, the Pac-10 is the best academically, largely because of Stanford, Cal and UCLA. “Colorado is on a par with Oregon,” he said. “Utah isn’t even in the picture.”

Fowler, Spieth, Day, Scott, Mickelson, Watson,
Prepare to put mustard on those words, for you will soon be consuming them, along with this slice of humble pie that comes direct from the oven of shame set at gas mark “egg on your face”! -- Moss

There's three rules that I live by: never get less than twelve hours sleep; never play cards with a guy who's got the same first name as a city; and never go near a lady's got a tattoo of a dagger on her body. Now you stick to that, everything else is cream cheese. --Coach Finstock
