You never know what can happen. I said the same thing about Patrick Kane when the Blackhawks drafted him. After that Bill Wirtz died and it ended up being a great place for him. Rumors are swirling that Boston is looking to move up into the top 5 to get Evans from Memphis and would part with Ray Allen to do so.
Dallas also wants to move up to take Jordan Hill and would trade Josh Howard.

Also, expect the Blazers to be very active on draft day too. I'm not sure they will trade up into the top 10, but they will do something. Walt Perrin the Jazz Director of player personnel mentioned moving up last night, he also started to light up when talking about Hansbrough, expect the Jazz to move up to take the big white guy.

Ainge is making a move! With Rondo averaging a near triple double in the playoffs, I think Boston would have a good enough 1-2-3 combo with Pierce-Garnett-Rondo to seriously compete for a championship. I would like to personally thank Ainge for the Brandon Roy trade. Ainge has done a really good job drafting for the most part, but his belief that Telfair was a better PG than anyone he could get with the 7th pick was insane. What's crazy is Ainge picked up Rondo that year in a draft day trade with Phoenix. Boston could have had a Rondo-Roy combo for years. Boston could have still made the same trade for Garnett a year later. They probably would have been better in 2006-07 and wouldn't have had the #5 pick to land Allen, but they of course wouldn't have needed Allen when they had Roy. Add in the cap implications of having the younger Roy compared to Ray Allen, and Boston could have easily kept James Posey around and added more depth along the bench.Originally posted by mpfunk View Post
