        Cavs fire David Blatt. Um, wow.

        I guess the leadership really didn't like losing to Golden State that much.

          I guess it's not too shocking, but seems weird considering the Cavs are playing quite well and coming off a nice win vs the Clippers. 12-0 with Love, James and Irving against every team other than GSW and SAS.

            Yeah, I think most people could sense a general dislike of Blatt. But when you're one of the top three teams, it's difficult to say a coaching change is needed.

                  If Golden State goes 9-2 over the next 11 games and Utah, Sacramento and Denver all go around 5-6 (their winning percentage), then Golden State will clinch a playoff spot with 25 games left in the season.
                  Part of it is based on academic grounds. Among major conferences, the Pac-10 is the best academically, largely because of Stanford, Cal and UCLA. “Colorado is on a par with Oregon,” he said. “Utah isn’t even in the picture.”

                        After Golden State finishes their current road trip, three more games, they have 17 home games and 7 road games left in the regular season. Golden State hasn't lost at home in over a year in the regular season, from what I heard. Two of their road games, however, are against the Spurs. One of them is the second to last game of the season and the Spurs probably won't need the win.

                          I'll be courtside when they play the Jazz on March 30, so I'm praying they still have a shot at 73-9, because outside of that, they may not be playing for anything.
