lol. It's amazing to me how you claim Oklahoma when it suits you. Kind of like Triplet and BYU.
Absence makes the heart grow fonder. I have spent most of my adult life here, and I'm sad to leave, even if this is the armpit of America.
Also, I do not think that OU and the Thunder are the same organization. I have never been a Sooner fan, although I can be persuaded to cheer for them occasionally. I will cheer for Bradford with the Rams.

He kinda does that with the church too.
What tickles me is seeing thousands of Okies cheering Kevin Durrant. And the Lakers going down in flames. Fun night all the way around.

I turned the game off at half time. I haven't done that in a playoff game in who knows how long. But I have seen enough from this Lakers team this season that I knew there was no comeback.
Is there any doubt that the owners and the NBA made the right decision to move the Supersonics from Seattle? SU take notes. I was getting so annoyed with ESPN's cameras as they kept panning out and showing wide angles of the game just to show the fans. Just show the damn game.

this was my thought last night.
Seattle could have been home to the future of the NBA. Instead, they ran the team out on a rail because the locals didn't want to pay a few extra bucks each in taxes to get a new arena going.
And by many accounts, the OKC arena is the loudest in the country.
SeattleUte and everyone else owes the NBA and Stern an apology. They clearly made the right choice.
ps I have noticed that Laker conspiracy theorists are kinda quiet this week.
There was a thread last year about guys breaking down after 35,000 minutes and never being the same. Many here said that would never happen to Kobe, at least he is locked up at a cheap price for the next four years. He is only going to get better and recover faster the older he gets.

I don't doubt that he will slow down. However, I think that he is really hurting and playing through a ton of injuries right now. That has taken a greater toll than the minutes played. I do think he will continue to be one of the top 10 players in the league over the next 3 years. A healthy Kobe is still better than 99.9% of the league even with the mileage on his body. It used to be a broken Kobe though is still better than 99.9% of the league. And that is certainly not the case anymore.

Yeah, I have a former BiL who is a Husky and Seattlite (that can't be what you call those), and he emailed yesterday saying how shocking it was watching the Sonics win a playoff game.

There's likely a bit of a cause-effect relationship there. Hence the 35k-minute theory.

There's three rules that I live by: never get less than twelve hours sleep; never play cards with a guy who's got the same first name as a city; and never go near a lady's got a tattoo of a dagger on her body. Now you stick to that, everything else is cream cheese. --Coach Finstock
