That's prime time on the east coast, no? Though I suspect the bigger reason is because they want the average Californicator to be able to get home from work in time for the game.

Start the games a little earlier, for pete's sake (as you may know, Pete is a Lakers fan but also has mod duty on CB, so it would be nice if he had time to do both tonight).

This loss is on Kobe. Too many missed FTs and critical turnovers.

The Magic shot the ball pretty dang well. Hard to beat a team that shoots that percentage.

Fun game to watch.

You can really see the benefit of home court. The touches that the Lakers were getting away with at home were fouls tonight. And Dwight Howard was allowed to do quite a bit of hip checking and mugging now that he is at home. No problem with that because I know it goes both ways.

Lakers had a chance to win this game but didn't execute down the stretch.

Jackson is king of the mind games. He said that to make Orlando say "Oh, we should have won and got cheated out of it. Can we win when the officiating is stacked against us?" and question their ability to beat LA.

Man the Magic played the game of their lives. They were hitting everything. The fact that they barely won has to be disconcerting. I think Kobe is tired. No legs in the second half. The missed shots, FTs and TOs. I think he expended too much energy getting it going in the first half when nobody else could. Some stupid plays down the stretch. Farmar's TO trying to pass to Kobe when Odom is standing 5' away without anyone on him. Kobe unable to split the double team. Pau not calling timeout when he recovered the loose ball instead turning it over again.

I'm just glad the Lakers played to the end. Most teams would roll over when the other team is stroking it like the Magic did. That was unbelievable. I was hoping the Lakers could steal this one (nearly did), but all along I thought the Magic's shooting would win them 1-2 games. They got points in the paint, but that is a jump shooting team that shot the lights out. I doubt they could ever replicate that type of offensive efficiency again, at least I hope not.
