You usually have to make contact for there to be a foul, which, other than Kobe stepping on his foot, didn't happen."I don't mind giving the church 10% of my earnings, but 50% of my weekend mornings? Not as long as DirecTV NFL Sunday Ticket is around." - Daniel Tosh

I'm not going to get into whether or not it was a foul, hell, I haven't even seen the play, (and I don't care) but I believe there is a rule that the defender has to give the shooter a place to come down. So, if the shooter is going straight up or falling away (have no idea what Kobe was doing on the play), the defensive player can't go under the guy so he doesn't have a place to land. Based on what I've heard, it sure as hell doesn't sound like it was a dirty play, even if it was a foul.Originally posted by ewth8tr View PostYou usually have to make contact for there to be a foul, which, other than Kobe stepping on his foot, didn't happen.I'm like LeBron James.

Just throwing this out there: In the 2009 playoffs, Dahnte Jones tripped Kobe after getting beat by him. It was not called as a foul in the game. However, the league after the game gave Jones a Flagrant-1 for it, which was his third flagrant foul of that playoffs, and second in two games with the Lakers. If we disagree on something, it's because you're wrong.

Dahntay Jones threw that out last night and said he apologized for it 4 years ago and that he knows he was wrong. He also said this had nothing to do with that play and he was just trying to contest Kobes potential game winning shot. Those guys obviously have a history. I tire of Kobe the victim though. I've seen him do plenty of shady crap to defenders over the years. I remember him hitting Ginobili in the face years ago, and elbowing Mike Bibby in the neck in the playoffs.Originally posted by SoCalCoug View PostJust throwing this out there: In the 2009 playoffs, Dahnte Jones tripped Kobe after getting beat by him. The guy has had a charmed career. Drafted by Charlotte? Nope, forget going to that hole, go play in LA instead for one of the best franchises in sports.Originally posted by smokymountainrain View Post@#!*% . As much as I hate the MFer, I feel bad for him.
And we're going to give you one of the most dominant centers ever to start your career so you can start racking up rings.
Can't do much on your own with bad teammates? Okay, how about you get to play with two of the best bigs in the game so you can get more rings?
Last hurrah...how does Dwight, Pau, and Nash sound?
'Bout time he had some bad luck.
