Donald Sterling

There isn't an owner over 50 who grew up anywhere but CA and New England that hasn't used the N-Word in their lifetime. If they are from the South, they are probably still prejudiced. But the NBA won't do anything to them if they've just made racist statements, so the owners have nothing to fear.

Even if you are right....the NBA could not afford to have that be proven.

Speaking of the N-word, I was impressed with Kareem Abdul Jabar's belief the word should not be used by anyone in NBA locker rooms. I am sure he would extend that to anywhere, but NBA locker rooms was the question posed to him.

I looked up the words racist and racism to see what the definition was. The words are thrown around so much, that I thought I would see if Sterling fits the defitinition of the words or just fits the PC definition. In my mind the guy (Sterling) definitely falls into the category based on the dictionary definition of the word.

What a shame there are still people who find other people inferior solely based on their skin color. Especially in this day and age where you would have to live in complete isolation to not see the great accomplishments and contributions people of color make.

Give Seattle a franchise ASAP. Allow the Clippers players to become free agents. Never schedule another game for the Clippers. You don't have to make him sell, just never schedule another game for the Clippers. Sterling can own the team, but for all intents the team doesn't exist and he doesn't get any money for the Clips. Let the Sonics take the scheduling spot for the Clippers.

Rather than apologize for his comments, however, Sterling is reportedly expressing a much different type of remorse.

He is not sorry for what he said. Apparently, he is sorry for failing to buy the silence of Vanessa Stiviano, the woman who made the recording.


“I wish I had just paid her off,” Sterling said, according to DuJour.com.

I'm guessing his response would be different if he had not been born in 1933.
