    Donald Sterling

    So everyone is condemning Donald Sterling, Clippers owner of. Being a racist. Here is the audio

    L.A. Clippers owner Donald Sterling told his GF he does NOT want her bringing black people to his games ... including Magic Johnson ... and it's ALL on tape.


    This is a recording of a former girlfriend trying to entrap Sterling into saying racist things on tape. Sterling is 81 and he repeats over and over in the tape that he does not hate minorities and does not care about skin color. Bur he also seems to be saying that he doesn't want his girlfriend, probably 50 years his junior, publicizing that she is hanging out with blacks, and specifically taking pictures with Magic Johnson. He also says thar Magic is a person who should be admired and that she can hang out with him all she wants, or sleep with him, just don't take pictures with him on Instagram and bring him the Clipper games.

    There is obviously some troubling issue here. But this is the best she could get out of entrapping a man born in 1933? Sheesh. I don't think this is an easy call as to how bad a guy Sterling is. But I don't know anything about him except for listening to this tape.

      You obviously know nothing about him. He has been sued for discrimination multiple times and has said before that black people smell. This isn't the guy you want to get behind as a thread topic.

                  The guys on TNT said she is black and hispanic, the two groups that he apparently didn't want living in his apartments because they stink.

                                  In all seriousness however, It will be interesting to see what Silver and the owners can do and ultimately choose to hand down as punishment. As racism in sports is concerned, having an owner be the culprit is so unique in it's ugliness. I don't remember well the incident with Marge Schott, but that's the only instance I can recall in the last 30 or so years where an owner was punished for racist comments.

                                          Yeah, I think something similar will happen to Sterling. No matter what the circumstances were surrounding the girlfriend and her reasons for making the tape, no way will the NBA let him continue to own a team.
