It's really quite funny this continues to be questioned by you despite overwhelming evidence supporting it. It's like insisting the earth is flat.

      • Really good game last night. KC is fun to watch the way they manufacture runs. Stealing bases, bunting, timely hits. Happy for Guthrie.

What are the two of you arguing about?
"Guitar groups are on their way out, Mr Epstein."

Upon rejecting the Beatles, Dick Rowe told Brian Epstein of the January 1, 1962 audition for Decca, which signed Brian Poole and the Tremeloes instead.

          • funk is an A's fan too? Figures. To be honest I'm not much of a MLB fan because the last time I really cared about baseball was probably 1985. Back in the day when I was in Kansas City and listening to every game on KMBZ with my Mom. And we never missed Mormon Night at the Royals. So happy for the true Royals fans like my sister in KC.

Knock it off. This board has enough problems without a dose of middle-age lechery.

Sorry funk, it may have a slew of evidence supporting it, but that evidence just doesn't really come from the A's who seem to collapse in September/October.

There is no question in my mind that if I could grow as spectacular a beard as Keisel does, I would likely never shave again in my life.

One of my good friends who can grow like that just started at BYU as a prof. It makes me sad for him.

It's a great trademark for him.

This mirrors my last fascination with baseball. My grandfather imbued me with a love of all things KC. I remember watching Len Dawson and Otis Taylor defeat the Vikings in about 1970. I remember discussing the KC Kings when they had this short little point guard. And I remember the one and only World Series championship with Brett and the manager formerly of the Yankees who died not too long thereafter, Dick Howser, I believe was his name. But then, the Royals fell off the map, shortly thereafter. My memory fails me but it seems to follow when Bo Jackson got injured.

I have some family left in KC who are enjoying the well-earned victory, but KC fans know victory can soon turn into shameful defeat.
