Watching it live is certainly something to behold, especially when they get up on their hydrofoils, it is incredible. However, watching on TV is almost as good with all the metrics they have showing live. There are Kiwis everywhere in San Francisco, so I'm sort of pulling for them since Team USA isn't really American, anyways. I'd upload some video I took but the ones you can see on YouTube of the catamarans literally flying will be much better than mine.
We were on the waterfront last Tuesday awaiting the 1:15 PM race, but unfortunately it was one of the races that got called off due to wind. We had to bolt to the airport soon after so we didn't get to see an actual race (we arrived on Saturday at 2 PM, and then on Sunday we were down in Palo Alto having brunch with friends). But it was great being there in person regardless. And watching all the races on nbcsports.com has been awesome. Super-happy with the way it all ended up. The comeback was quite incredible.
