Kings are playing great hockey right now. That save by quick in the second was just filthy. Williams, kopitar, Richards, and Doughty are having terrific games. Doughty look every bit a Norris finalist even though he isn't.

Kings worry me more than any other team in the NHL. I felt the same way last year.Originally posted by Flystripper View PostKings are playing great hockey right now. I'd just like to point out that I did quite well with my predictions in the first round.Originally posted by mpfunk View PostWestern Conference
Blackhawks/Blues: Blackhawks in 6
Ducks/Stars: Ducks in 7
Kings/Sharks: Kings in 7
Avs/Wild: Wild in 6
Blackhawks/Wild: Blackhawks in 5
Kings/Ducks: Kings in 5
Blackhawks/Kings: Blackhawks in 6
Eastern Conference
Bruins/Redwings: Bruins in 5
Habs/Lighting: Lightning in 6
Pens/Blue Jackets: Pens in 7
Rangers/Flyers: Rangers in 7
Bruins/Lighting: Bruins in 6
Rangers/Pens: Rangers in 7
Bruins/Rangers: Bruins in 5
Stanley Cup Finals'
Blackhawks/Bruins: Blackhawks in 6
Blackhawks/Blues. Called the winner and the number of games
Ducks/Stars. Called the winner, but Ducks won in 6 instead of 7
Kings/Sharks. Called the winner and the number of games (assuming the Kings hold on)
Wild/Avs. Called the winner and the number of games
Bruins/Red Wings. Called the winner and the number of games
Habs/Lightning. Way off on this one.
Pens/Blue Jackets. Called the winner, but Pens won in 6 instead of 7
Rangers/Flyers. Called the winner and the number of games.
7/8 series picked the winner (assuming Kings hold on)
5/8 series also called the correct number of games in the series.
What this teaches us, puck possession is huge. I picked teams largely on puck possession numbers. As I lead this army, make room for mistakes and depression

Lets see your predictions for the second round. Very impressive on the first round. I'm looking forward to the Bruins Habs series, I hope the Kings advance and I hope the Pens get beat.Originally posted by mpfunk View PostI'd just like to point out that I did quite well with my predictions in the first round.

Nice to see Kane deciding to be the best player in the NHL again.
Bickell is just a different hockey player in the playoffs. He can be mediocre all year for all I care as long as he keeps this play up in the playoffs.

Exactly, I could care less how he performs in the regular season. He had 4 assists in 59 games this year. He had 2 assists today. 11 goals in 59 games in the regular season and 5 in the postseason already.Originally posted by Flystripper View PostYep. I agree with Anson Carter from last night.
When the Kings won in 2012, they had the following:
1. Fantastic goaltending from Quick.
2. Stifling defense.
3. Stars doing their job.
In 2013 we have:
1. Fantastic goaltending from Quick.
2. Stifling defense.
3. Stars doing their job.
I would love to see the Blackhawks/Kings in the next round. That would be some fantastic hockey.

I would much rather see the Blackhawks/Ducks in the Western conference finals. I would much prefer an easy opponent before facing the Bruins. It will be the Blackhawks/Kings and it will be a great series. Blackhawks won't be able to get the kings out in 5 games this time.Originally posted by The_Tick View PostI agree with Anson Carter from last night.
