The Canadian team that took until the last 10 minutes to make the go-ahead goal on Latvia today? If Canada is the best team at the games you wouldn't know it by how they have played thus far.

Canada dominated that game. The Latvian goalie played out of his mind. It literally looked like Canada was on the power play when they were playing 5 on 5. On paper Canada is the better team but I feel good about Friday.

ha, no way. Funk isn't enough of a hockey fan to know which statistics exist for the sport. If you change your avatar to a hockey logo right now you'd be a bigger hockey fan since you're giving updates as well.

I agree that Canada has not looked great so far in the Olympics. Hopefully, they continue their underwhelming and uninspired play. However, the plan fact is that no one has more depth and talent with their forwards than Canada. No one has more depth and talent on the blueline than Canada. Its a pretty big talent gap between the United State and Canada.

On the other hand, USA has 3 goaltenders that would be the starter for Canada, but that matters less on the international ice surface.

I'm not saying the USA can't win, but it is going to be an extremely difficult game. I do like the way the United States is playing.

That is a really good player for Canada to lose and really chips away at their depth. Certainly not a good thing when they have been struggling to convert chances. Of course, when you still have Toews and Crosby as your top 2 centers, you can't really complain too much.
