    Why so silent.....

    on Lebron's loss?

I think what we heard tonight was the collective thud of the Cavaliers finally playing a good team.

    Should be a good series.

I'm impressed with the Magic. I never thought they would have much of a chance at all in the playoffs. They are tough as nails and that was some clutch shooting.

Will the national media jump on BronBron and company like they did the Lakers? I doubt it.

Anyone think NBA refs would ever have the balls to call a 6th foul on BronBron like they did with Dwight Howard.

Looks like Lebron will need to score 50 points every night to stay in this thing.

Lebron was selfish tonight and his team payed the price.

No, because the Lakers were the prohibitive favorites to win it all. Then they entered the post-season and started looking very average.

This will be dismissed as a hiccup. But the Cavs should be very concerned. It took a near 50 point game from Lebron and the Cavs still lost. At home.

I was too busy watching Utah beat TCU in the MWC baseball tournament to think about the possibility that there was an NBA game on.

Which school is traditionally the MWC baseball power? I honestly have no clue. Is Utah a good baseball school? Is BYU a good baseball school? They seem to have a nice baseball facility.

Utah has never been good at baseball. They've had a few better than average years, but mostly the Utes have been marginal.

BYU used to be really good back in my days and before. But those years were the exception rather than the rule. These days, BYU is marginal to okay. A bit better than the Utes, though Utah did beat BYU yesterday in the first round of the tournament.

The best team in the conference is TCU. They're ranked #10 right now. New Mexico is the other good team, but TCU is so much better on a national stage right now than every other team.

SDSU is a disappointment and so is UNLV. I would have thought Tony Gwynn would be able to attract better talent than he does at SDSU and Vegas should be an attraction to ball players as well.

Then there is AFA. They try.

No other teams play baseball in the conference.

Right now, it's Utah/SDSU in the winner's bracket. BYU plays New Mexico tomorrow at 11:00 AM MDT on the losers side tomorrow and the winner of that game plays TCU in an elimination game at 3:00 PM MDT. TCU catches a break because of being the #1 seed.

                  BYU eliminated UNLV earlier today.

BYU has a very nice baseball facility. Utah has a nice facility as well just to the south of RES on Guardsman, but they only use it for practice. They play most of their home games at Spring Mobile Park/Franklin Quest Field/the old Derks Field where the Bees/Stingers/Buzz/Gulls/Angels play(ed).

I only got to listen to about the last 45 minutes, so I can't really comment on the game other than I know what Mike Tirico sounds like at the moment of climax.

That game was awesome. Barkley picked the Magin in 6 Sunday after they dispatched the Celtics. I am on his side. This game shouldn't have even been close but Turk and Lewis are so soft they couldn't back down the mismatches they had when the Cavs started Bron Bron on Rafer Alston. That was a WTF coaching move that ended up appearing genius and then bit them in the ass when they started hitting from outside over these little guys. I couldn't believe that Hedo couldn't take Delonte West. I was getting so pissed that first half watching him play.

I found myself rooting for Magic in this one. I even started chanting MVP when Bron was at the line and missed two. He can't do it alone. Mo Williams is their only other option. The Magic's range and 3 ball is scary at times. Howard is a presence inside. The Magic have during the season and could give the Lakers issues in the finals. I like the Lakers chances better against the Cavs. LBJ though is ridiculous. Dwight Howard is ridiculous. This should be a fun series. I am going with Barkley. Magic in 6.

On a side note. I don't know if Lingo was watching, but I nearly had to turn it off when Bron started screaming "Mother f*ckers lets go!" Started staring down opponents. Hanging his right hand in the air for 5 minutes after his long bombs. And snarling, curling his upper lip, and wrinkling his nose like he smelled his own BO. It was disgusting. I'd hate to play with that guy.

Sounds like he's heading to Washington if they can sign him.

Well, because he thought it was good sport. Because some men aren't looking for anything logical, like money. They can't be bought, bullied, reasoned, or negotiated with. Some men just want to watch the world burn.
