Deshaun Thomas interviewed with the San Antonio Spurs at the NBA draft combine on Thursday.

Among the questions asked of Thomas was his cell phone number and email address.

Thomas declined to give the Spurs his phone number.

“I can’t go around giving it out to everyone,” Thomas said Thursday with a laugh. “Now if they want to draft me, I’d be happy to give it to them.”

Thomas is currently projected as a second-round pick.

Well it looks like official was 38" max. Not as impressive as the tweets made it seem.

MC-Dubz with a 41" max vert. Helps overshadow that he measured a bit shorter than expected.

Is the court different this year? Ford just tweeted that Larkin had a 44" vert.

Just getting to some of Ford's stuff. He thinks Adams was the big winner from day 1.

Pittsburgh's Steven Adams was the big winner on Day 1. Not only did Adams look the part of a NBA center (he measured 7 feet, 250 pounds with a 7-foot-4.5 span), but he showed off some terrific athleticism and toughness on the defensive end. However, that's not what wowed scouts. Adams showed off a surprising -- no, shocking -- offensive game, hitting jump shot after jump shot with a feathery touch.

"I can say I was honestly stunned," one NBA GM said. "Where did that come from? That's not something you develop with a few weeks with a trainer. He was way more skilled than we thought. That makes a huge difference in our evaluation of him."

It was the same story GM after GM. Even veteran scouts seemed surprised by Adams' skill set. He's not Marc Gasol, but the fact he showed anything from an offensive skills standpoint was huge. How big? Virtually every GM I spoke with had him pegged as a top-10 pick. He'll have to keep up this pace in workouts, but no one had a bigger day.

Interesting that feathery shooting touch helped him shoot a remarkable 44% FTs this past season.

Hence the "stunned" and "where did that come from?" comments.

That's funny. I have residents who work with me who block their cell number when they call me -- automatic results in a worse evaluation from me, especially if they say it was blocked because they were calling patients.

Except that it's never stunning and doesn't come out of nowhere when a bad basketball player, looks good when it doesn't matter. To be more specific - when a poor shooter, looks good shooting it when the games don't matter.

Except that maybe sometimes it is.

I'm guessing a few of these guys have been around the block.

I don't doubt they think he looked good shooting the ball.

Shane Larkin had a max vert of 44". Highest at least the last four years.

Crazy how athletes breed athletes. Larkin only averaged 8 per game in high school and his best offer was Depaul. 2 years later and he is the beat athlete at the nba combine and a surefire first round pick.

                            1. Cavs
                            2. Magic
                            3. Wizards

Zards in a great position to take Otto Porter, one of the most complete players in the draft AND a need position.

Well, because he thought it was good sport. Because some men aren't looking for anything logical, like money. They can't be bought, bullied, reasoned, or negotiated with. Some men just want to watch the world burn.

2013 draft is weak. 2014 draft is loaded. The Jazz would do well to let their vets walk, go with the young guys, and look to add a really good pick in 2014 if the young guys can't carry the load. A top 5 pick in 2014 would bring a really good player. Win the lottery and you get the games next transcendent player with Andrew Wiggins.

I can see MWC going to Sac-Town. It is a shame that he didn't stay for one more year. I is not as polished as he should be going into the league. I have to agree on Otto. I think he is the player of the draft. I think Nerlens as the first pick is a big risk but seems to be a good fit for Cleveland. I can see NN being another Oden.
