7 sacks in 8 games. That would have been a pace for 14 sacks on the season.

It's almost like we never got to enjoy him as BYU fans. He came into his own, got his shot, and was gone a few games later.

All the whiners about NYC Super Bowl must hate hearing about the Ice Bowl and being the greatest NFL game ever. Would have been awesomer in Tampa Bay. This is one of those things that proves people just love to complain.

Prior to the Niners beating the Pats last year in December, the Pats had been beaten something like once in 10 years in Foxboro during that month. For all intents and purposes, that was a December game last night.

But it also goes without saying that I'd be worried about Manning playing in cold weather against a defense that knows how to scheme against him. Manning's an old QB and old QBs usually don't play exceptionally well in cold weather. Denver would still be fine because they should still get homefield in the playoffs, but the Super Bowl is in effing NEW JERSEY this year. Perhaps Denver will get lucky and get to play the Saints, but more likely they'll be playing Seattle and Manning is going to have to go against that pass rush and Sherman/Thomas/Browner in the secondary.
I do love having him on my team. I just don't know that the ultimate goal is going to be reached despite how great he's been. And the NFL is a bunch of idiots for caving to New York's desire to hos the Super Bowl. It should be in a dome or warm locale and that has nothing to do with my team, I just think you should remove weather as a factor as best you can.

Yep. Stars job is to eat up blockers to free up the other guys for the tackles.

But guys drafted in the first round are supposed to be good. It's not as if he's dominating or having a pro-bowl type season.

    Panthers
    Steve Smith
    Star Lotulelei
    Jordan Gross

    Dolphins
Sam Brenner (started at Center and sucked)
RJ Stanford (special teams player and 4th corner didn't get a ton of time)
Koa Misi(waiting for him to make some type of impact for Miami)
Paul Soliai (absolute monster one of the most underrated D-tackles in the NFL)
Derrick Shelby (been a steal for Miami as an undrafted free agent)

Of course the most important player on the field was former BYU cougar John Denney who is a pro-bowl long snapper.
