Prepare to put mustard on those words, for you will soon be consuming them, along with this slice of humble pie that comes direct from the oven of shame set at gas mark “egg on your face”! -- Moss
There's three rules that I live by: never get less than twelve hours sleep; never play cards with a guy who's got the same first name as a city; and never go near a lady's got a tattoo of a dagger on her body. Now you stick to that, everything else is cream cheese. --Coach Finstock

The thing is, Cousins has shown himself to be quite competent. To a certain extent, Washington would have had an advantage taking Griffin out because Seattle prepared for him all week. The same can't be said if Joe Webb is your backup.Originally posted by UtahDan View PostAgree and it's on him and them.Part of it is based on academic grounds. Agree. Shanahan will take a lot of heat and rightly so.Originally posted by Color Me Badd Fan View PostThe thing is, Cousins has shown himself to be quite competent. well, that didn't end up how I was hoping. RG3 probably done for a while, he'll be lucky to be back for next year, IMO.Dio perdona tante cose per un’opera di misericordia

Knock it off. This board has enough problems without a dose of middle-age lechery.

It's gods punishment for having the most offensively racist nickname in pros sports. "Discipleship is not a spectator sport. We cannot expect to experience the blessing of faith by standing inactive on the sidelines any more than we can experience the benefits of health by sitting on a sofa watching sporting events on television and giving advice to the athletes. And yet for some, “spectator discipleship” is a preferred if not primary way of worshipping." -Pres. Uchtdorf

Falcons open at -2.5. I wouldn't be surprised to see that number creep down.
A mild weekend of games. I expect next week's slate will be much more entertaining."I don't know the origin of said bitch booming."-Art Vandelay

I fully expect Mike Smith to turtle up and pull a Schottenheimer next week. That's why it was such a big deal that the Niners got that #2 seed because it's basically like getting homefield throughout the playoffs. Of course, truth be told, I'd rather play Atlanta on the road than Seattle at home.
If I'm a 'cocks fan, I'm rooting for the Niners against Green Bay. Aaron Rodgers can torch pretty much any secondary and Clay Matthews and their secondary are healthy. Matthews can spy Wilson and punish the midget. They would have a problem with Lynch but Lynch isn't going keep up with Aaron Rodgers.Part of it is based on academic grounds. I think if you want to blame a Shanahan, I'd blame Kyle who had designed QB runs called in the gameplan. Kyle has been fantastic all year, but if you've got a limited QB, then you can't call one run for him. Also, RGIII had at least two runs where he needed to slide or go out of bounds and he didn't. He needs to work on that in the offseason.
I thought the officials let the chippiness on both sides go a little too far. We saw a lot of late hits that lead to injuries (particularly on the Redskins side, which is obviously why it bothered me).
If the Redskins didn't want to risk further injury to RGIII, they should've shut him down after the Baltimore game. Period.
All in all as a Skins fan, there is so much to be optimistic about. You've traded a late-ish first round pick (and hopefully another late-ish first round pick) for your franchise QB. You've got a great stud RB in Morris, and the FA money spent in the offseason seems to have paid off. Need to beef up the secondary and the lines, but the future seems bright."They're good. They've always been good" - David Shaw.
Well, because he thought it was good sport. Because some men aren't looking for anything logical, like money. They can't be bought, bullied, reasoned, or negotiated with. Some men just want to watch the world burn.

I read somewhere that NFL teams from the West Coast playing night games at home cover the spread something like 70% of the time. I wonder if there is the reverse of that when a West Coast team has to play the early game on the Eas coast. Seattle has a looooong trip to Atlanta and that game starts at 10AM Pacific.Part of it is based on academic grounds. Among major conferences, the Pac-10 is the best academically, largely because of Stanford, Cal and UCLA. “Colorado is on a par with Oregon,” he said. “Utah isn’t even in the picture.”

Chris Clemons supposedly has a torn ACL. He's a huge part of Seattle's pass rush. He's probably their best defensive lineman.Part of it is based on academic grounds.
