I dunno. I think Green is so hot, (through the whole playoffs) that he's likely to be the next Ray Allen, and be recognized as the best shooter in the NBA.
He is already 4th among active players in career 3pt %
They would have gone down 20 before half if not for Miller. Dude was insane in his own right. I don't think a single one of those even caught the rim.
At least one of them did hit a little bit of rim - I think it was the fourth of the five.

I see the Heat taking the next game. The Spurs take the last at home and then the Heat return home and continue the trend of not losing back to back games. The Heat then break the trend of the series and win game 7.

That's a good point. If I was to put $100 down... which way would I go based upon the first three games. Well, San Antonio is up 2-1....

Next game is for it all. Heat have some things in their favor. They haven't lost back-to-back since January, they've responded extraordinarily well to losses in the playoffs (+20 margin of victory in wins after a loss), and teams typically tend to respond better after a blowout than a closely contended loss. If they are ever going to take one in SA, it has to be game 4. If not, they're done. Even if they could get came 5, I just don't think they can beat the Spurs three in a row to win it.
But it's going to be a tall task. The fact that they just got decimated without any of the Spurs Big 3 getting loose is a frightening proposition. The Neal/Green/Leonard triumvirate has been so good, and you can always count in those role player types much more at home than the road. And James remains so flummoxed by the Spurs strategy that I'm not sure he'll be able to pull out of the tailspin. I'm actually finding it pretty intriguing to watch. What's so unique about baseball is that it puts people in the mental midget spot more often and more frequently than any other sport. Football and basketball are more reactionary, but baseball effs with your head because you always have so much time to think. I saw this quote from Wade and it reminded me so much of what you sometimes observe in baseball:
Wade said something interesting about LeBron’s shot selection, after assuring one inquisitive questioner that LeBron was not, in fact, sick. He said the Spurs’ strategy of sagging far off of both him and LeBron almost tempted them into taking jumpers, even though both know they should stay in attack mode. “It takes away your aggressiveness,” Wade said, since open jumpers are shots “you can make in your sleep.” James shot 40 percent on 3-pointers this season and 46 percent on long 2-point jumpers — a Nowitzkian number. He should have graduated past this, but, again, credit the Spurs for making him think hard about driving.
Everyone has seen that baseball player who when just asked to react on instinct can just make a brilliant play, but when he has to field a groundball right in front of him and make a basic throw just loses his mind completely. The gears start turning and the doubts of the mind take over. That's almost exactly what it feels like watching Bron right now. He gets space out on the perimeter and you can just see the gears start to turn in head and you know he's effed. It's been interesting to watch. And for as much as everyone wants him to attack, I don't know that he's ever going to have the space to do that until he actually knocks down some jumpers and forces the Spurs to defend him tighter.
So Russell...what do you love about music? To begin with, everything.

That's absolutely right, but the key for him is to take more threes than long twos - which he hasn't been doing. He's been a 40% shooter on 3s and 46% on long twos. It doesn't take a genius to figure out which shot is the most efficient.

He has looked really out of sync this series. He's had several possessions where he is clearly sizing up for a long jumper, but he ends up taking one step inside the line before shooting. He never does that. But everything looks off. His ball handling hasn't been great either. Normally he'll get past his guy, and even with heavy traffic in the lane he can get another dribble in before collecting himself to either shoot or get a pass off. But he's mishandled the ball more frequently than normal.
Like getting a good shooter a couple of free throws or easy jumpers, I think LeBron needs to dunk on someone's head and then the flood gates could open up for him. He hasn't been elevating the same as we've seen in the past, making me think his legs are really fatigued. 3 straight finals trips, Olymipcs, and one of the very few superstars that plays hard both ways.
Last year Portland was looking for a coach and ended up with Terry Stotts. This year....??? Could have had Karl, Hollins, or Spoelstra when he gets canned in three weeks.
I think Kidd will be a great head coach for the uncoachable Williams.

Yep, Lebron needs to shoot 3s with confidence if that's what the Spurs are giving him.
The Spurs are doing a great job clogging up the lane with team defense and Lebron keeps trying to force things that aren't there. Lebron will be better if he just takes what the defense gives him and doesn't overthink things.
