That is amazing PER at 18 mins a game, but you forgot Andray Blatche and Brandan Wright. Since they're not on the list I guess it must be those two amazing blocks that makes up his value, despite the fact that he's always out of position on defense, has no filter chasing balls in the air, and erases any value those blocks bring by negating them through goaltends and otherwise being a completely undisciplined defender.

But I do agree he should be ranked on a list of guys that shouldn't be traded. At 18 mins a night off the bench and due $34mm over the next three years nobody should be trading for him.

You can put Brandan Wright and Andray Blatche on your list if you would like. I give you my blessing.

      • The Deron of the entire season is probably fairly ranked, but the Deron of right now is really, really good. When I watched him against the Jazz the other night, he looked leaner and quicker than I've seen him in years. And I read on one of the hoops blog that he dunked for the first time since last season the other night, which is kind of crazy given how often he dunked in Utah. In addition to the wrist problem, I'd kind of forgotten about the ankle, and apparently earlier in the season he physically couldn't dunk. But he looks as healthy as he's been in a while and since the break is knocking down 23/8 on .473/.436/.850. That kind of production would bump him ahead of several guys he's currently behind on the SMR trade value list (for now at least he's ahead of Javale McGee!).

          37. Damian Lillard
          38. Dirk Nowitzki
          39. Ricky Rubio
          40. Kenneth Faried
*excludes players such as Rose and Love who have been out all or most of the year.
          Just missed:
          JaVale McGee
          Kawhai Leonard
          Luol Deng
          Derrick Favors
          Roy Hibbert
          Greivous Vasquez
          Kemba Walker
          Zach Randolph
          Andre Iguodala
          JR Smith
          Jamal Crawford
Hayward should definitely be ahead of a lot of guys he is behind. At least 10 spots higher.

I tried to rank Deron based on what he's done over the entire season taking into account some of what he has done recently. I agree that an argument could made for him to be in the 8-12 range based on recent play, still just a tad above my man Javale.

I might be inclined to keep him above those two on my list simply because he's the subject of one of my favorite youtube videos ever.

              • John Wall is on an absolute tear lately. Looking like he might start fulfilling all that promise.

I saw a TV clip on him and his incredible numbers in the last 14 games, but stretching it even more and seeing what he's done since the all-star break is just as impressive. Over 25 games he's averaging 20.4, 7.7, 4.5 and 1.5 steals while shooting 46/44/83.

Isn't this the year he'll be looking to get an extension before hitting free agency next year? An early extension could be important for a guy with previous knee issues, but it might've been hard for the team to give him big money when they don't have to because of those previous problems. I wonder how much this tear he's on will change that.

To be fair to Javale, that was during his tenure at Washington. He is more mature and experienced now....

Yep, he's a guy that if he keeps it up, he could jump into the top 10 pretty easy. I need to see him play like this for at least an entire season.

                      • Vucevic with 30 and 25 tonight, his 2nd 20/20 game in a row and 4th of the season.

John Henson had 17, 26, and 7 blocks in the same game. Henson's minutes have been very irregular this year, but it seems that when he gets 20+ mpg he is pretty productive. When he plays at least 20 minutes he is averaging 13 ppg, 11.7 rpg, and 2 bpg. But that has only happened 9 times on the year.

                        • Lillard with 17 points, 7 assists, and 0 turnovers in the 1st quarter.

Looks like teams outside the playoffs are going into full on "get our numbers" mode. The shot attempts in that OT game between Orlando and Milwaukee were crazy, 109 and 101 FGAs for the teams.

Yep, these guys getting huge numbers, especially several young players, seems to happen every year in the last few games of the season.

(edit) Just noticed Tobias Harris put up 30 and 19 for Orlando. Harris couldn't even get off the bench for Milwaukee during the season.

This game has been wild. 130 points in the first half. Kobe with 26 and Lillard with 25.
