Lebron playing out of his mind in the playoffs is not exactly new or unexpected. I see no reason why it wouldn't happen again this year when he's having his best year ever. Also, having Bosh back helps, you know, a little.

On a tangent from the Heat talk, the 5x5 article on ESPN today had one question about who do you take as the best player of the last 10 years: LeBron or the field. Kind of a weird way to construct the question since you aren't projecting anything so having the field as an option is odd (and just done to maintain continuity in the article), but anyone who doesn't say LeBron for the answer to that is stupid or auditioning to be one of the fake contrarians on First Take. I realize 2003, the start of this particular debate, was LeBron's rookie season and while stellar for a guy right out of high school, he certainly wasn't better at that point than guys like Kobe, Duncan, or Dirk. But his 2nd season in the league he averaged 27,7, and 7 and shot 47% from the field. By his 3rd season I don't have a problem with anyone that would say he's been the best player in the league since then. His 3rd year he averaged 31/7/6 and had a PER of 28 and almost led a team of scrubs to the conference finals.
But this year will be his 4th MVP within those 10 years, and likely his 2nd Finals MVP and title. He might be the best defensive player in the league while definitely being the best offensive player. I seriously just can't imagine someone not believing LeBron is the best player of the last 10 years. It's not that he completely blows Duncan or Kobe out of the water, because they've certainly been spectacular for much of the decade too. But IMO LBJ is the clear choice.

You were right, it hasn't been discussed. I thought it was the original poster who failed to generate any discussion, but maybe its not just me.
Well, it was very interesting.

Good call. Looks like they're going to lose to Cleveland here.Originally posted by HuskyFreeNorthwest View PostI would agree with this, in fact if I were forced to bet I would probably bet that they lose to bottom dweller, not a quality opponent. I haven't taken the initiative to look at their remaining schedule.

lol. Just stop.Originally posted by smokymountainrain View PostSeems like we may be circling back around, but...Yes, they answered those questions last year. LeBron played out of his mind and they got it done. I question whether that will happen again this year. I think they have to be considered the favorite, but I wouldn't bet on them against the field.
You would take the field.
lol.
They are so much better than anyone in the East and have no real threat from the West.
Born has played at such a high level his entire career and has taken it to mythical levels over the past 18 months.
Would anyone be that surprised if they lose only 1-2 games the rest of the season/playoffs?
What they are doing, with no center and LeBron playing point everything is insane.
