    You sure about that?

Nobody is on Kobe's level of being a boob about it.

No, I was just describing what I found to be the most interesting part of the game that I watched.

Sure the Jazz came back from something like 18 points down, but it still seemed pretty anti-climatic.

Here are what I perceive as reason's the NBA doesn't currently appeal to me.

Not very competitive/very few upsets. The higher seed usually wins. When an 8th seed beats a 1 seed, it is a huge deal (like Golden State upsetting the Mavs a few years ago). This was probably my problem watching the Jazz/Lakers game. There was no way the Jazz were going to win the series. Maybe going back to a 5 game 1st round would help. Kind of make it a precursor to the "real" playoffs.

No big rivalries, right now. The Lakers/Spurs was pretty good a few years ago. There is a lot of potential for the future though. I think that the Lakers/Celtics final last year helped, but it wasn't that competitive. If the Cavs can make it a competitive finals this year, it would be good for the game with the Kobe/Labron angle. If that series goes to a 7th game, then I would say that the NBA would be back. It really is too bad that the Celtics are hurt this year.

I think my biggest reason I'm not excited about basketball anymore is that I was spoiled being introduced to basketball in the mid 80s. Those Laker/Celtic finals were great. Even the Celtic/Hawks games were great where Bird and Dominique would go off. Once those faded, Micheal Jordan came along, but their wasn't any huge rivalry. He carried the league on his back.

Not following any specific team, my interest has just faded over time.

The 80s were indeed awesome. For my money, nothing beat a good Artis Gilmore v. Joe Barry Carroll matchup.
