I've been reading quite a bit about the Jazz's potential moves this offseason, and a lot of it is contradictory. Boozer will stay, Boozer will opt out; the Jazz will trade AK, the Jazz won't be able to find any takers for him; that sort of thing.
So step right up and make your calls. Here's a list of current Jazz players. If the space next to their name is blank, that means their contract is completely up this season. A Y by their name means they have a player option for 2009-2010, and an X means they are under contract for the next season. A Z means the team has the option to resign them. Type "stay," "leave" or "trade" next to each of the players' names to make your prediction.
-Andrei Kirilenko X - stay, I don't see anyone taking his contract of $36 million over the next two years.
-Carlos Boozer Y - stay, I don't think he can get more money anywhere else.
-Mehmet Okur Y - stay, ditto.
-Matt Harpring X - stay, is he worth $6.5 million to anyone else?
-Deron Williams X - stay.
-Kyle Korver X - stay, his 46% shooting from deep vs. the Lakers was nice.
-CJ Miles X - could end up moving. His 2-8 shooting from deep did not impress, and I think he could do more on a team where he got consistent minutes.
-Jarron Collins - I hope to high heaven he goes.
-Brevin Knight - Same here. Not cutting it as a backup PG.
-Ronnie Brewer X - Stay, and maybe he'll magically develop consistency on his jump shot.
-Ronnie Price - Gone, apparently he's fallen out of favor with Sloan, as he played a total of two minutes in Games 1-4.
-Kosta Koufos X - I liked what I saw from him early in the season, and think he'll get more playing time next season.
-Morris Almond - Gone.
-Fesenko Z - This is an interesting one. Could be the answer to the Jazz's interior defense woes, but I'm not sure that he's a good fit for Utah. Wouldn't be surprised if he's let go.
-Paul Millsap - I'd love to see him stay, but if I'm right about Boozer and Okur staying, I don't know where the Jazz will get the money to pay him.
