  • Miami trading that first rounder was odd. Cheap, young players to round out the roster is exactly what they need.

But isn't Justin Hamilton LDS? Is he going to give Greg Kite a run for most titles by an LDS big who looks like he doesn't belong on a basketball court?

There's three rules that I live by: never get less than twelve hours sleep; never play cards with a guy who's got the same first name as a city; and never go near a lady's got a tattoo of a dagger on her body. Now you stick to that, everything else is cream cheese. --Coach Finstock

                • Interesting story from Windhorst who got to spend draft night with the Cavs front office team. The Cavs drafted Waiters and Zeller, two players they didn't bring in for a workout even though they had over 60 players come to Cleveland before the draft. I thought it was interesting to read that their breakdown of Waiters showed he shot very well on the type of shots they think he'll take the most in their offense.

                  • I guess no matter who you draft, you still have to make sure they have the basics down:

                    • MG mentions it would be nice to have Barnes and Hayward and that might be true. However the Jazz already have Burks and Hayward and Burks is better than Barnes.

BGR, I won't forget about the lunch when Waiters and Beal are better than Barnes. I'll even drive up out there to the sticks so you can pay up.
