    Redskins to sign Pierre Garcon.

Well, because he thought it was good sport. Because some men aren't looking for anything logical, like money. They can't be bought, bullied, reasoned, or negotiated with. Some men just want to watch the world burn.

I don't think he is worth that. That seems really high.

He's the guy that makes the highlight grab and then drops the ten yard out on third down.

Skins also add Josh Morgan who had been with SF, didn't play last tear after breaking a leg. The chatter about his apparently was that he as #1 ability but wouldn't cost that much. Also appears we will add Eddie Royal who along with Morgan is a VT grad. Whatever else the Redskins did today, they got seriously fast. Not sure how they still hang on to Moss, but who knows. Still need to re-sigh Fletcher and get some help on offensive line. Also, if Royal comes Banks is a gonner I would think.

Banks' only value was in the return game and he wasn't that valuable there anyway.

Tampa Bay paid VJax $55 Million. They are reportedly in on CB Eric Wright and G Carl Nicks as well which would land them 3 of the top 6 or 7 FAs out there. That said, they overpaid for VJax.

                  Thank goodness, Banks sucks.

Not a free agent, but Calvin Johnson gets 7 Years 132 Million with 60 of that guaranteed.

Would you rather have Jackson for 11 mil per or Calvin Johnson for 19 mil per? I love me some Calvin, but that contract is insane.
Prepare to put mustard on those words, for you will soon be consuming them, along with this slice of humble pie that comes direct from the oven of shame set at gas mark “egg on your face”! -- Moss

There's three rules that I live by: never get less than twelve hours sleep; never play cards with a guy who's got the same first name as a city; and never go near a lady's got a tattoo of a dagger on her body. Now you stick to that, everything else is cream cheese. --Coach Finstock

Especially with a QB that has a history of getting banged up.

San Francisco Jumps in the Peyton Manning sweepstakes

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that the San Francisco 49ers have emerged as one of the three finalists to sign free agent quarterback Peyton Manning.

Holy shit! It looks like maybe Alex Smith isn't liking what the Niners are offering and the Niners are finally getting in on the Peyton Manning thing.

I'll be honest, I prefer two more good seasons of Peyton Manning than what Alex Smith was able to do last year if we had that for another six years (we got to the NFC Championship, sure and he did win that playoff game against the Saints for us -- but that team was all about defense, special teams and capitalizing on turnovers).
Part of it is based on academic grounds. Among major conferences, the Pac-10 is the best academically, largely because of Stanford, Cal and UCLA. “Colorado is on a par with Oregon,” he said. “Utah isn’t even in the picture.”

Yeah, perhaps they low-balled him or gave him a low number of years to force this situation.

My wife loves Peyton Manning. She always wanted to watch the Colts when he was healthy. I love the Niners -- it's a match made in heaven for us potentially.
