After last night Kuma has as many wins as walks at 12. Unreal.

In a story that can only be described as embarrassing for everyone involved, Jesus Montero, the disappointing one-time Seattle Mariners catcher, went after a scout from his own team with a bat during a minor-league game Thursday.
The reason? The scout had been heckling Montero during a rehab assignment with the Single-A Everett AquaSox, who were playing in Boise. The scout then sent an ice cream sandwich to the dugout for Montero. That's when Montero — who made headlines when he showed up at Mariners spring training 40 pounds overweight — snapped and had to be restrained.
https://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/mlb-b...080802669.htmlMontero was coaching first base, and at the end of an inning, the unidentified cross-checker [a type of baseball scout] yelled at him to hustle off the field, according to Boise official scorer Liza Safford. Montero then headed to the AquaSox dugout on the third-base side.
According to a game official, the cross-checker then ordered an ice cream sandwich and had it sent to Montero in the dugout, escalating the confrontation further. The official said Montero — who arrived at Mariners Spring Training 40 pounds overweight this season — approached the stands with a bat while screaming profanities and threw the sandwich at the cross-checker. Montero had to be pulled back from the stands by Everett pitching coach Nasusel Cabrera, Safford said.

Maybe this will give them some life because they've looked so dead since the Rodney implosion. Just a game back of KC, and that's not including the suspended game KC still has to finish where they trail 4-2 in the 10th.So Russell...what do you love about music? To begin with, everything.

Well, been a good run, but these guys are cooked. The starting pitching just hasn't been able to sustain, and I think you had to figure that was going to happen (though I'm really puzzled by Kuma). And I still really feel like that Fernando Rodney 10th killed the momentum this team had.So Russell...what do you love about music? To begin with, everything.

Yeah, maybe. Losing two series to the Stros in a month certainly doesn't help. But there was so much buzz leading into that A's series, and with Rodney's 10th it just all went away. The air left the park and the team and never really seemed to come back.So Russell...what do you love about music? To begin with, everything.

Not moving the target at all. This season was more than I asked for.Originally posted by HuskyFreeNorthwest View PostYou were all excited for them to get to 81 wins in April, now you move the target on them. They exceeded what you and the sports radio folks in town wanted in the spring. So Russell...what do you love about music? To begin with, everything.

Well, bummer. Still a great day at the park and fun to have 162 matter. And great to see Felix have the opportunity to get on the bump in a game like that. Came up a bit short, but they well exceeded my expectations for the year. Feel really good about the pitching for next year and hoping we finally get to see a rotation anchored by Felix-Kuma-Paxton-Walker like we expected at the beginning of the year. With Elias throwing as well as he did he'll be a strong #5 at the back of the group. Pen should again be good, as most of the best arms are young and will be back. If the M's can add one more legit middle-of-the-order bat, I think they can take another step forward.
It was sad walking out of the park knowing the season was over, but I'm looking forward to some great October baseball (I'm all in on the Bucs and the Royals). It was a great year with an excitement at the park that hasn't been here for years. I made a personal best 16 games this year, and the M's went 11-5 in those games. Not bad considering they were basically just a .500 team at home. Looking forward to next year.So Russell...what do you love about music? To begin with, everything.

Had you gone to more games, it seems they would have made the playoffs.Originally posted by MarkGrace View PostI made a personal best 16 games this year, and the M's went 11-5 in those games. Not bad considering they were basically just a .500 team at home. Looking forward to next year.
