HR streaks starts again today with a Franklin grand slam.

Watching these kids really has me excited about the upcoming Jazz season.

At least one homerun in 22 straight games. Longest streak in the AL since '02.

I had seen him in Tacoma as well. Reminded me of a young Eric Davis at the time.

I would have dumped Sherill and a prospect the level of Tillman no problem to get a pitcher the level of Bedard at the time, even with the risks. But I never thought Jones was worth it; he was clearly on the trajectory of becoming a very good player, and it's not like adding Bedard was taking them anywhere to the extent that dumping a top prospect was worth it.

Also, if you can just kick a little bit to the left, that's the sweet spot in my nuts for making it really hurt!

    Pedroia bombs.

Ortiz follows with a double that probably put a dent in the outfield wall.

    Napoli bombs.

    That's three.

Is there a longer name in baseball than Saltalamacchia? Barely fits on his jersey.
Salty is a legend. Right after graduating high school he started dating and eventually married his science teacher.

I'm actually kind of numb to it. If you look back to see who has come through and left the Mariners system and what they got for those players, it's pretty astonishing. I expect that the Mariners will always continue to trade away young talent in order to get a veteran that doesn't perform/or is short term.
