Mocking? More like jocking especially when you consider everything about Bron.

I realize I'm preaching to the choir replying to you, but are we saying that a person can't mock Stevie Johnson? Or is it that we can't make fun of a moron who was dumb enough to shoot himself in the leg?

I like Stevie Johnson and I don't like LeBron. For me it is as simple as that.

That's what's funny. THe initial outrage to SJ's TD celebration was way overblown. (I think the real outrage should be that he pretended to be an airplane crashing to the ground. Playing against NYJ, I'm guessing that was a 9/11 "joke"? That's the really offensive part, but that doesn't seem to be getting nearly the publicity as the gun/leg part). So to say that any reaction criticizing LBJ's use of the same thing (in a pickup game) is overblown is a bit of an understatement. But haters gonna hate.

I agree, that is an honest answer.

I don't think it was a 9-11 joke but people are taking it that way. I think it was a joke about the jets crashing. I doubt 9-11 ever entered his mind.

I tend to agree. Even someone like SJ wouldn't be so obtuse as to joke about 9-11. But he probably should have issued a statement saying that:

"I sincerely apologize if my actions offended any of the victims or families of the victims of 9-11. My actions were intended to be a joke regarding the apparent direction of the Jets season, and were not in any way intended to reference the terrible tragedies which were and are still suffered by so many as a result of the events on September 11, 2001."

Then he should reiterate that his actions "were intended to offend that dumbshit, Plaxico Burress."

Some Twitter speculation this morning about how the Bulls could put together a package to go after Howard that would rival anything the Nets or Lakers could offer. And Rose + Boozer + Howard would be an interesting trio to watch. There isn't a more perfect way to maximize Boozer's value than to let him play next to Howard.

Bulls and Spurs seem to be the only legit contenders for Caron Butler. He meets with Chicago today and the Spurs tomorrow. Spurs expected to offer the full mid-level. If Caron wants more, SAS are willing to amnesty Richard Jefferson in order to make room.

I'm a big fan of Caron Butler, despite being a product of Calhoon. He would be a good get for SAS, depending on how well he has come back from injury.

That'd be my only concern. If healthy he's one of my favorite players. I still wish he were a Laker.

I am really curious to see what the NBA does with its league pass. Will they give a big discount for it this year not only with the shorter season but also to thank fans for sticking with it thru the lockout?

Any prediction? I doubt any real discount and I bet it comes in around $125 for the full season.
