If they don't get it together, they're going to be eliminated today..down 4-1 in the bottom of the 4th right now. Of course, their one run came on an awesome collision at the plate:

Napoli is tough, but that's why you don't block the plate until you have the ball.

      Did I say this?

Now 3-2 in the fifth. Did a Ranger's run get reviewed?

I screwed up. The score at the time was 3-1. Final score 4-3 Texas.

Diamondbacks taking it to the Brewers. Wolf has thrown 24 pitches and given up 5 runs.

I'm not sure how they do it, their is not a lot of talent on this team. Gibson must show the team the clip of him hitting that homer before every game to get them fired up.

As if we didn't already have more than enough proof that the playoffs are nothing more than a crapshoot and luck is the biggest factor, if the Tigers beat the Yankees we have even more proof.

Sounds like a bitter A's fan to me.

As for me and my house, we'll be going to an ACLS game if the Tigers win tonight. I'll let you know what it feels like to cheer for a winning (professional baseball) team funk. Stupid 54-10

Not bitter, just realistic. The worse A's team to make the playoffs was the team in 2006 that beat a far superior Tigers team. Every other time they made the playoffs in the Beane era, they were the better team and lost on some fluky type plays.

Any time the Yankees lose, it is God's will being done.

                          Two problems with your post:

                          1. The Tigers lost to the Cardinals in the 2006 World Series.

                          2. How exactly does your supposed "better team every time" lose all the time? O yeah, luck.

Sorry, meant far superior Twins team. Twins completely overmatched the A's.

Yankees are the better team. So the Tigers may take a 5 game series, but 162 games says otherwise that the Yankees are better. Small sample size and luck becomes huge.

They really need to increase the first round to 7 games increase the chances the better team will win.

The 2004 Cardinals were better than the 2006 Cardinals.

No worries about the 2006 Tigers?Twins mixup.

But can you please show me where Detroit has been getting lucky this series? TIA.

On another note, it's fun to watch Fister pitch. Lots of strikes and he works quickly.
