            Carli Lloyd got vilified for her comments, but she was correct. This team was more worried about politics and perception than they were about work and results.

                She's not correct. Being politically aware and talented are not mutually exclusive. This team struggles because they don't have anyone of Carli Lloyd's talent on it. The team has a lot of good players but no stars. Rose Lavell is the closest, but she was hobbled and sidelined during during most of the World Cup. I predict the coach will end up being the scapegoat, and he'll be gone in short order.
