God willing, if Jimmer makes it past Sacramento, he should slip to the #11 pick and I think Indiana and New York will want to move ahead of the Jazz.
I should have paid more attention. Did anyone else see it? They went on for a while about how the Golden State ownership was infatuated with Jimmer.

Too late. I already used my voodoo on David Kahn to take Kanter, and on KOC to take Williams and Jimmer.

Up next, bewitch Philly to give us Igoudala straight up for our old, undersized PF Millsap.

Sure you're not thinking of the Kings and the Maloof brothers?

I would be shocked if the Jazz don't pick Jimmer at #12 if Jimmer's available -- and I don't think he'll be available at that point.
Part of it is based on academic grounds. Among major conferences, the Pac-10 is the best academically, largely because of Stanford, Cal and UCLA. “Colorado is on a par with Oregon,” he said. “Utah isn’t even in the picture.”

Nope. First they talked about the Maloof's infatuation with him and how the coaches won over and they're no longer in the Jimmer hunt. But then they talked about a new ownership infatuated with him, ie Golden State.

            • Is there any conceivable way Jimmer doesn't go top 20?

              • Draft rumors regarding the spurs.

George hill to utah for the number 12.

Tony parker and rj to sacramento for the number 7 and beno udrih

Parker to toronto for the 5.

Parker, splitter, and 3 future 1st round picks to milwaukee for the 10 and bogut.

                • I haven't kept up on the draft sites like many of you, but I just checked DX -- they have Kanter going #2 and DWill to Jazz in their latest mock. SJS's voodoo is working.

                  • It doesn't matter if you suck in Game 7. When your team still wins, you get the ring, and you're rep as a winner grows.

You see his inefficient shooting numbers and it’s easy to label him as a player whose college-crafted reputation might disguise some ugly truths. And that’s where the second-guessing begins. Sure, Walker can command a huddle, but with college 3-point shooting of just 33.0 percent in 2010-11, can he make teams pay for going under the screen? And yeah, he can hit the big shots, but with that ho-hum 28.0 assist rate, Walker doesn’t strike you as a point guard who truly excels at setting up others.

In the Final Four, the shining moment of his final college season, Walker was a mere 11-for-34 from the field and 1-for-9 from 3-point range, with almost as many turnovers (six) as assists (seven).

But as draft guru Chad Ford wrote shortly after the Huskies hoisted their third national title that “Walker proved once again that he's a winner.”
Also, please ignore the 18-16 record the previous season.

sounds like another one sided trade.

                          • So much could happen. But how about this? Sacramento is not in love with anybody at #7, but they are considering Jimmer. However, if they don't pick Jimmer, he'll be available at 12.

                            So, may I propose a Sacramento-Utah trade?
Utah gets the #7 and uses is on Valanciunas/Vesely/Biyombo/Kanter after drafting Kinght at #3.
Sacramento gets Bell, or CJ, or 2 second round picks, or the Jazz 2013 top 18 protected 1st or some combination of the above and the #12 which they use to draft Jimmer.

                            Win - Win.

                            • Why the change? Fewer 3 and 4 year players in college and more intl guys making the draft more of a guessing game?

In the 90s, there was an average of 5.2 traded picks on draft-day. In the 00s? 13.4.

                                * Why is Mrs (?) Divac wearing pajamas?
                                * Why was Vlade given a hat 2 sizes too small?
                                * What is with the polka dots, is that part of his shirt, or jacket?
                                * Where are VD's smokes? This certainly seems a time to celebrate with a nice European cancer stick.
