Ryen Russillo says Vesely is the best int'l prospect. I don't know who Ryen Russillo is. He shows some clips of Jan, and damn that dude can get on top of the rim.
Talked quite a bit about Jimmer, nothing novel. Better athlete than given credit for, not sure what position he is, is defense so bad because he couldn't risk foul trouble or because he's just not capable?, should be able to get his own shot and be a good spark plug-type guy. Floor is Indy at 15, worries about expectations and external pressures if he goes to Utah.

Rusillo is an ESPN radio host. He's the co-host of the Scott Van Pelt show.Ain't it like most people, I'm no different. We love to talk on things we don't know about.

Kemba Walker cancels workout in Sacramento against Jimmer. Not surprised, but I wouldn't be surprised if this gets viewed as another positive for Fredette by the media.

I stii really like knight. I think he will be worth a #3 pick. With that said, I think the jazz could trade down a couple of picks and still nab him. You get something in return and get knight somewhere around 5-8, I would be thrilled.

• The Minnesota Timberwolves got their man -- 2009 lottery pick Ricky Rubio -- to agree to a contract this week. I wrote about what it means to the Timberwolves and Rubio on Thursday. But how will it affect their draft plans?
I think it's safe to say that with the Wolves' pick at No. 2 you can now totally rule out the chance of them drafting another point guard. David Kahn won't make that mistake again. But I think it's better than 50-50 that they won't be drafting at No. 2 at all.
That won't be Minnesota's public stance, by the way. I've been told multiple times by Wolves sources that they are keeping the pick. The last thing they want is to give the impression that there's a fire sale happening. So no, Kahn won't just be giving the pick away -- not by any stretch of the imagination.
However, I still believe there's a good chance they'll trade the pick by draft night. The team knows it has to improve its win total this year in a significant way -- 21 or 22 wins isn't going to do it.[ame="http://insider.espn.go.com/nba/blog?name=nba_draft&id=6622187"]2011 NBA draft: Looking at draft plan for Minnesota Timberwolves, plus other prospect notes from around league - ESPN[/ame]• BYU's Jimmer Fredette had big workouts this week in Indiana and New York.

Jimmer Fredette could go as high as No. 7 to the Sacramento Kings.
The workouts went well. Both teams have serious interest in him, and from what I can gather it's unlikely he gets past the Indiana Pacers at 15.
But could he go higher?
Next week he'll hit the Jazz and Kings. The Suns are on the radar screen sometime as well.
That he's working out for the Jazz (and possibly the Suns) doesn't come as a big surprise. But what about the Kings? Are they seriously considering Jimmer at No. 7?
Sources say yes ... if Brandon Knight and Kemba Walker are off the board. The Kings seem pretty determined to add a point guard to the roster. If Knight and Walker are gone, Jimmer's the next best one on the board. Shooting ability is something the Kings covet in whichever guard plays alongside Tyreke Evans, and few players stroke it like Jimmer. So Russell...what do you love about music? To begin with, everything.

Judging by the comments, yes this is another positive for Jimmer. I also agree with the one comment that Kemba's agent made the mistake in scheduling the workout to begin with. Kemba Walker needs to fire his agent now.
Also, there are bizarre rumors that the Blazers are trying to move into the top 7 to get Kemba Walker. The rumors make no sense as the Blazers don't have a GM and don't have the ammunition to get that type of deal done.As I lead this army, make room for mistakes and depression

It might not take too much to get into the top 7. Recall that Cleveland owns the LAC #1 pick for essentially a bit of cap relief by taking Baron Davis. That pick wouldn't have been around #8 if they didn't win the lottery.Originally posted by mpfunk View PostKemba Walker needs to fire his agent now.

I guess it is possible, but really the only thing the Blazers have to offer, that they are willing to part with, is Andre Miller and Nic Batum.Originally posted by Jacob View PostIt might not take too much to get into the top 7. While Miller has value to a contending team, he doesn't have any value to a non-contender except for cap relief. I guess it is possible that a team could be desperate enough to shed salary to trade the pick and not pick up Miller's option and clear 7 million of cap room.
Arguably if Batum was in this draft he could be a top 10 pick. However, we have years of inconsistency from Batum that I would be very concerned about if I was giving up a top 10 pick for him. Batum has potential, but he has never come close to realizing his potential despite being given an opportunity. For the Blazers, Batum is expendable right now. We already have Wallace who is basically a best case scenario for the development of Batum. As I lead this army, make room for mistakes and depression
