I believe so, because I remember reading his blurb about Singleton not being "polished" on offense and thinking that that was putting it mildly.
I'm all about trying to put more emphasis and value on what a guy can do on the defensive side of the court, especially someone that can potentially guard several positions like Singleton, but he is so limited on offense that I don't think I'd be happy with taking him at 12 when Thompson, Burks, or even Jordan Hamilton are available.
Much easier to build a defensive scheme to help Thompson on that end than to get anything out of Singleton on offense. So with the need for shooting and another player that can create his own shot I don't view Singleton as the best option.

I was never impressed with Singleton when I saw him at FSU, and IMO, defensive guys tend to get overrated often due to a lack of a reliable way to measure defensive ability accurately.
And what the crap are the knee concerns? When is this information going to come out?
From his own mouth. He was out of basketball the several months because of a knee injury and it delayed his travel to the US. He's also had some back issues if I remember correctly. If he has no health concerns, he deserves a serious look at 3 and hopefully allowing the Jazz to make a deal.

They also have Big Al in Charlotte after the dust settles? They picked the wrong PF IMO. Honestly, at this point the stars are aligning for Paul Milsap to find himself another home. His contract, his lack of size, and his unwillingness to move back to the bench will force the Jazz to move him, especially if they go after Kanter like I'm thinking they will.
I like Paul but his inability to defend the post (notice I didn't say unwillingness) is just a problem. If Favors can stay on the court he will mask Al's weakness on defense (I love Al's shot blocking but his post defense overall is weak).
If The Jazz go with Kanter then I really think the front court for this team is set. Now on to the task of finding some wing scoring/defending. Where's my magic wand?

Yeah, right, but type of injury? Did he have surgery? Everyone says "knee concerns," but I've never once seen any thing specific about what's happened.
So Russell...what do you love about music? To begin with, everything.

I've recently read that the Cavs have Valanciunas (or like we in cleveland call him Big V) higher on their board than Kanter. Have you gotten the same vibe?
Jonathan Givony:
Yes. Directly from Kanter's camp in fact.
Jonathan Givony:
The only PG that will be there and is [starter] worthy at 12 is Jimmer...can he be a starter? It depends how much your team values defense. The Jazz are exploring a LOT of different options right now from what I'm hearing.
Jonathan, is Biyombo NBA-ready, i.e. will he be able to start on opening night (whenever that is)? If not, how close is he?
Jonathan Givony:
I think he's more ready than any of the other big men in this draft (http://www.draftexpress.com/rankings/2011-Big-Men/), except for maybe Marcus Morris.
It might be time to start calling Jajuan Johnson the most underrated player in the draft.
When you combine the on court production with excellent size/length and now confirmed freakish athleticism, how is he not a lock for the top 10, if not top 5.
He can go inside and outside, plays both ends of the floor, blocks shots, seems like a good character guy. I'm not sure what's not to like.

His max reach has to be pretty impressive.
He'll end up being taken by a team like Miami or Chicago at the back end of the first and being a stud.
