It is a better comparison than the usual suspects like Magic, Jordan, and Bryant. He is closer to Malone than he is to the other people like to compare him to.As I lead this army, make room for mistakes and depression

Wade has been the closer during the Finals, no question about that. LeBron is just showing how un-Jordan he is. In the first 3 rounds, I thought LeBron had taken a big step, but he's faded in the Finals. Fortunately for Miami Wade, the superior closer anyway, has stepped up.
I know this has been posted here before, but this clip kills me.

I've always thought LBJ looks like Barkley in transition, probably because of his combo of strength, ball-handling, and athleticism which Malone never had (strength, yes).Originally posted by mpfunk View PostIt is a better comparison than the usual suspects like Magic, Jordan, and Bryant. But really, LBJ is waaaay better than Malone.Part of it is based on academic grounds. Among major conferences, the Pac-10 is the best academically, largely because of Stanford, Cal and UCLA. “Colorado is on a par with Oregon,” he said. “Utah isn’t even in the picture.”

He is a better player than Malone, but he is similar to Malone in his ability to close out games.Originally posted by Color Me Badd Fan View PostI've always thought LBJ looks like Barkley in transition, probably because of his combo of strength, ball-handling, and athleticism which Malone never had (strength, yes).

Except that Miami wouldn't be in the finals if Lebron hadn't closed out the games vs Chicago. With the exception of yesterday's game I think LBJ has played very well this series.Originally posted by mpfunk View PostHe is a better player than Malone, but he is similar to Malone in his ability to close out games.

Except that Lebron was the reason they made the Finals as Wade struggled against both Boston and Chicago.Originally posted by Coach McGuirk View PostSounds like we are in agreement then. Wade is MJ and bron is gravy training off wade. Now that we have that set, he has been a serviceable second fiddle.*Banned*

Bron was rather clearly the guy through the first 3 series, and now it has become Wade. Should they win this thing, the narrative is going to look something like this: the Heat did exactly what people said they couldn't do, which is put aside their egos and let each guy lead when the time called for it; Bron when Wade was struggling, then Wade when Bron was struggling, with Bosh intermittently chipping in.Originally posted by cougjunkie View PostExcept that Lebron was the reason they made the Finals as Wade struggled against both Boston and Chicago.
Should they lose this series, Bron's going to take a lot of heat (get it!) because with an even average game 4 Miami wins the series. But I still suspect they'll win this thing, Bron will play well enough in the next three, and the story will go as above. So Russell...what do you love about music? To begin with, everything.

Dirk = Willis Reed = worst comparison ever.
Why do so many people insist on pretending that Reed was anything but an initial boost of energy for his team to begin that game? He walked up the tunnel, was on the floor for the tip, and then did nothing. That's an insult to compare Dirk's Game 4 to that.

Dwyane Wade is hurt -- went to the locker room.
Doesn't look like it's too serious, but time for Lebron to step up.
