Westbrook and Durrant just have no confidence at the end of games.

Sort of a bush league move there by OKC to force the mop boys to do an extended wipedown of the floor in between Nowitzki's first and second FTs. Sorry, just being honest.

It's not as if they're getting much help from their coach. He has drawn up some terrible, terrible plays to end this game.

That might be the most impressive 4th quarter comeback since Utah came back from 12 down with just over 2 mins left in Game 6 the 1997 WC finals against Houston. I was on my mission for LAL @ Portland in 2000, but that was a comeback over the entire 4th period,whereas Utah and Dallas came back from double digits with less than 4 minutes left.

I'm a bit biased, but I'd say Utah gets the nod for the more dramatic finish, though Dirk's performance tonight was probably slightly better than Stockton's in that 4th Q.

I turned that OKC v. Dallas game off after they were up 15 points with 4 minutes left. No one comes back in that situation, right?

What a horrible loss for a young team. Russell Westbrook is doing his best Steve Francis impression and he fails to understand that the Steve Francis type player went out of style in the league about 6 years ago. I was high on Westbrook heading into the playoffs, but I've soured on him. Unlike Rose, he has an excellent option to pass to and there seems to be some kind of dysfunction between Durant and him. I have a feeling that Chris Paul or Deron Williams would run away with second team all NBA PG honors (and maybe beat out Rose) if they were paired up with Durant.

Ryan Recillo (spelling) on ESPN radio quoted some interesting stats concerning the closing ability of teams with the elite PGs in the league. The best closing teams were those with the elite PGs (as opposed to guys that hog the ball in the 4th quarter like Kobe Bryant). Basically Paul, Williams and those types close well because they get the ball to the guys that can take the best shots in a given situation. Westbrook hasn't developed this trait yet.

So this is now twice this post-season that Miami was put in position to take a win in OT in a crucial game 4 because a nails FT shooter bricked a FT in the last minute of the game that wld have won it for the other team.

Allen v Boston and now Rose v Chicago.

Except that's the third time they've blown 15 or more late in the game, just in the last two weeks.
