As important as NFL folks think the combine is, are they really doing manual timing on the 40? Or is that just for Rich Eisen.

Yup I am praying he falls to San Fran at seven. With that 40 time I doubt it happens.

How many pics does SF have? I can't remember the #, but they definitely can move up if needed.

Only one in round 1. I actually don't think they have a ton of picks, at least not significantly more than normal. Maybe an extra 2nd or 3rd rounder. Even still, I'm not sure you move up. A lot of holes to fill, including QB.

OK, I wasn't sure. Someone on ESPN radio was talking before the combine about teams that could do well in the draft and he said SF and # of picks was his reasoning.

I don't even see an extra 2nd round pick for them. Oh well, I'm getting used to being disappointed recently.

I seem to remember them trading down once or twice last year but not enough to pick up significant value. I could be wrong but I think an extra 3rd might be the most they can get.
