    • When I talked to the Glens Falls guys in my hotel lobby after the Utah game they asked me if I knew why the ref had sent Jimmer off the floor toward the end of the game as they hadn't had a chance to talk to him yet. I said that I hadn't even noticed that from my seat at in the rafters of the MC. I had forgotten all about that comment until I read this today. Apologies if already discussed somewhere.

I can't recall hearing of a ref advising a coach to take a player off the floor. Strange situation.

According to KSL-TV, Fredette made his feelings be known to referees during the Utah game that he should have gotten more calls.

After getting fouled on what turned out to be his final basket of the night with 59 seconds to play, Fredette let the officials know how he felt about their handling of the game's very physical affairs. Before Fredette could attempt his free throw to complete the three-point play, umpire Mike Reed advised BYU coach Dave Rose to remove his point guard from the game, in light of his vocal unhappiness and increasing frustration level. With the game no longer in doubt, Fredette left the contest after scoring his final point.

Whether the official should be engaging in such a dialogue with Rose is something that can be debated, but there can be no argument that Fredette is getting the stuffing knocked out of him on a nightly basis, and this past week in particular, the whistle was swallowed more often than not.

That's a student section scared shitless. Thanks, Jimmer!

I actually like that they have a week off again to prepare for BYU. That's a week of hype and buildup they have to deal with and I am hopeful it rewards them the same as our last matchup.

And I agree, they do not know what they're asking for.

              • For all the hyperbole that has surrounded the Jimmer vs Shawshank Sistas, I'm sure it helped toughen him mentally. To be 17 or 18 in a small Jim gym full of really bad dudes, where you can hear every word they say (NBA and MLB players always say taunting is much worse in dead arenas where you can hear the individual versus the general frenzy of a loud crowd) was pretty darn intimidating. SoCal with a bunch of frat boys dressed in white shirts and bike helmets, not so much.

I have said it before, but that is my #1 favorite Jimmer moment because of the way he acts after the shot. Didn't even crack a smile. Brilliant.

Dude, Jimmer is the Mickey the f-ing pikey. He never goes down when he is supposed to and for every action, there is a reaction; and a Pikey reaction is quite a f-ing thing!

I just hope by then that their free throw shooting returns to normal. Statisically speaking it should but they have been shooting much better as of late and that was one thing you could count on with this team.

I'm truly surprised that even in Connecticut and Ohio, Jimmer is still getting 25% of the votes. He is an easy bet for a number of national awards. I hope he can keep up this pace.
