I think the music programmer passed away recently, because this season has been shockingly current, particularly by BYUs standards.....Taio Cruz, ke$ha, etc....you get the more current staples like sandstorm or zombie nation. Last night during an in-game video promo, they played Quiet Dog by Mos Def. I have actually been pleasantly surprised, if not shocked.

Time to send in a check to BYU. A move like that cannot be left unrewarded.

I was working a part time gig as a chauffer during the Sundance Film Festival 3 years ago and I happened to be assigned to Mos Def for the day and well into the night. At 2 am he and his entourage, high as kites, proceeded to insist I drive them to the local Burger King in Park City. 11 of us crammed into the Escalade and away we went.

Frustrated that the Hispanic Drive thru attended wasn't understanding the extremely large order he proceeded to sit right down on my lap and order everything he wanted in "-shizzle". Needless to say if the poor latino wasn't understanding me he wasn't going to understand what "20 whoppizzles" were. After literally 30 min in the drive thru we proceeded back to the condo and I sat with he and his entourage along with Kevin Bacon (he happened into the lobby as we sat down) eating Whoppers and onion rings and chatting about the festival. Surreal.
