Dwight Howard dunked on a higher rim, executed the off the side of backboard jam, and did the classic free throw line glide.

How many more Nate Robinson lob jams do we have to endure. His best dunk required Dwight Howard's participation.

I am already sick today. Nate Robinson winning didn't make me feel much better.

Dwight Howard got a bit carried away with the phone booth schtick. Also, what was up with bringing 500 kids onto the court? I thought they were going to break out into "We Are The World"

That would be a good point if he hadn't already been able to stand not having the spotlight on him for the last 5 dunk contests.

LeBron could benefit from a little less spotlight light when he is wearing yellow cardigans with bizarre Lowenbrau crests on them.

Once the kids were out on the court, I honestly thought Dwight was going to pick one of them up and do a dunk with a kid on his back. In fact, that is probably the next frontier of dunking...tandems, formations, etc...

I agree but it would have been more impressive had it been a better pass off the backboard and he had done something more than just a two handed jam. I disagree with Kenny and Reggie saying that he's the only guy in the building that can dunk on a 12' rim.

I watched all of the festivites including the celebrity game on Friday night (TO had some nice dunks). First of all HORSE has potential but I agree with D-hole no flow to the game at all, and Kevin Durant just started shooting jumpers and it ended quickly. They need to invite all of the guys that most think are pure shooters and see what they can come up with.

Skills Challenge sucked, Chris Paul, Kidd, Dwill, Nash always went hard trying to break the record for best time, none of the guys last night acted like they cared.

The shooting stars challenge is always decent to watch, especially the half court shots, I dont think Aaron Afflalo even hit backboard on any of this 20+ attempts.

Three point was a joke this year, other than Kapono no great shooters in it. The contest needs Ray Allen, Dirk, Kapono, and I actually think since he doesnt use much legs Memo would be good.

Dunk was fun, I am glad Dwight Howard is in it, he is creative and him and Nate put on a good show.

Speaking of the Dunk theatre show after HORSE, I really love Kenny Smith doing the dunk contest, he got me excited at times after seeing some of those dunks, I love how fired up he gets.

I'm watching the 1972 all-star game on ESPN Classic right now. Played at the Forum. Guys actually care. The west has been dominating. The east is pushing to come back. Fouling and pressing like it's a playoff game. Dave Cowens with like 17 rebounds just tied it up. Inbound goes to Oscar Robertson defended tightly by Havlicek. He passes to Mr. Clutch aka the Logo dribbles to the top of the key and hits the game winner in Walt Frazier's eye. Awesome game.

Wow. Despite being 7+ feet tall, Shaq has some pretty impressive popping and locking skills.

Why was Lebron the only one of the starters to come down in front and dance? I think mpfunk may have been onto something....

LeBron James just couldn't stand not having the spotlight on him for 5 minutes, so he said that he will be in the dunk contest next year. I don't see him actually being in it.

Fernandez had the best dunk of the night, but it got one of the lowest scores. I don't exactly blame the judges though because it took him over 2 minutes to actually make the dunk.

Fernandez got screwed. That dunk was ridiculous, even if it did take him 10 attempts.

Dwight Howard deserved to win. That guy is incredible. Even his last dunk that didn't look very impressive was a two-handed dunk with his heel close to the free-throw line on the take-off. Jordan in his prime couldn't do that.

Jordan in his prime could dunk from the free throw line two handed, do you not remember that he was the first to do it and when he did he had the ball cocked back as it went through the rim? He had plenty of room to spare.

Fernandez dunk was nice, but after 10 attempts it loses its luster.
