That being said, Ben Wallace is a millstone. Get rid of that guy.
Ford is now reporting that talks have broken down.

I think the deal breaker was Wally. He's really their only dependable guy off the bench. They couldn't part with him. I wonder though if they should have. It seems to me like the writing is on the wall and Ferry is trying to get the Cavs a title before their best chance bolts and maybe trying to keep Lebron in Cleveland if they can win a title.

The Celtics bench isn't what it was last year. The Lakers have traded some depth but their second unit is still great. I'd put those guys up against anyone else in the league.

The Lakers really only got rid of guys that weren't playing much. The core of the bench is Ariza, Farmar, Walton, and now Powell now that LO is a starter.

Losing VladRad was a bit of a bite. I'd still rather have him than crybaby.

Looks like the Celtics just lost Tony Allen to thumb surgery, so their depth just got thinner, as well.
        Fitter. Happier. More Productive.

Two of the last three years the Spurs have had solid deals done but they have not been able to execute them before the trade deadline.

3 years ago they had sent Brent Barry to Denver for JR Smith.

Yesterday they had a deal sending Fabricio Oberto, Bruce Bowen and George Hill to LA for Marcus Camby.

Both of these deals were agreed upon but submitted to late to the league offices. WTF!

Manu is out for a few weeks now too.

Those are two deals I would have done in a heartbeat.
