Just saw the over/under on Bedard's points for the season is 69.5. I'd definitely take the over on that one and may just make my first sports bet since Utah/UNLV in 2003.

On another note, got tix for the Montreal Canadiens game bc it's 'Noche Con Los Yotes' where they give out cool Los Yotes gear, which is the Spanish-language branding for the Coyotes. The D Backs do this as well, and have a uniform w 'Los Serpientes' branding. I love it. I wish the Coyotes wore the Los Yotes jerseys during the actual game and not just during warm-ups. They have three iterations of it so far, and the first one is far and away my favorite hockey jersey ever created. Really wish I could buy it.

That's a cool jersey. I wonder if all the NHL teams do something like this? VGK does it for Hispanic Heritage month (or night).

No- I think just the Mexico-adjacent teams like the Kings, Knights, and Coyotes. On second thought, I can't see the Wild doing it, but the Kraken might. I guess just teams with a Hispanic contingency in the fanbase. Every team does the St. Paddy's theming, which I also like but is much less original and cool.

We learned a few important things about Connor Bedard this evening, other than that he's very young, and the rest of us are very old. Most importantly, the shot release is as advertised. True world-beater stuff. That alone is going to give him an A Grade, chances that other players can't even sniff. Once he gets a better sense of what he can (and can't) get away with against NHL players, he's going to start piling up points — and we're not talking secondary assists. Ain't gonna take long, either. Most of all, I'll take 20 years or so of watching this kid, and I'm betting you will, too. He's already a blast to watch.

I watched the game last night. It is pretty evident that he is quick and has amazing stick handling skills. I agree it shouldn't take him long to start piling up goals in the league.

The first highlight here is just impressive, even though he didn't score.

It wasn't the splashy debut of someone like Matthews scoring 4 goals, but watching him play was a thing of beauty.
