yes he should. just awful. he definitely swung his leg intentionally at johnson - whether his intent was to hurt him or not, he should know that with blades on his feet, chances are it's going to leave a mark, if not worse.I'm like LeBron James.

Move Reichel back to wing. Put him on a line with Bedard. Let Reichel take the face offs. He is completely lost out there trying to play center. The experiment is a failure.
Why in the ever loving hell is Korchinski not playing the point on the power play over Seth Jones. That pass to Bedard was a thing of beauty. Let those 2 work together on the power play. The Blackhawks suck, let this season be about getting the experience for the young players. Korchinski/Bedard is the future of the power play in Chicago. Let them build it now. Reichel isn't going to be a center. Yes, the Blackhawks have to figure out a long-term solution for a second line center, but that can wait.

That game was fantastic. I don't think I've seen the Coyotes rolling like this. Looking good!!!Originally posted by MartyFunkhouser View PostWhen I said the Blackhawks were bad, I meant it. Korchinski to Bedard to start the game was a thing of beauty. The rest is this game. I don't think there's any other explanation than he was trying to hurt him. There is simply no other reason to raise your leg into the air and kick someone in the neck with an ice skate.Originally posted by smokymountainrain View Post

It was not a natural motion at all. In all the years of watching hockey, I have never see a skate hit someone up high like that on a player in an upright position. Not in the neck, not in the face, and not even in the chest. He may not have been specifically targeting his neck, but he was trying to hurt him.Originally posted by falafel View Post

That's messed up and way outside the ethos of hockey, where you don't dare touch anybody with your stick. Yet this guy lets his blades get inverted? F him.Originally posted by MartyFunkhouser View Post

I gave an explanation on CB. Watch his left leg. It gets folded in like it got stuck in a rut in the ice. Ruts in the ice can throw you off balance and cause you to do strange things when trying to regain balance. Compounded because he may have clipped the other guys skate with his. As someone who's played a lot of hockey, I doubt it was on purpose.

There might be some room for that explanation had he not raised his foot up to head level. Those same reflexes honed over years on the ice are the same ones that pull your leg down and away if there were any chance of hitting someone with a sharpened metal blade on the bottom of your foot.Originally posted by Shaka View PostI gave an explanation on CB. 1/2 I need to address something about the accident. We wholeheartedly stand with Matt Petgrave. The hate that Matt is receiving is terrible and completely uncalled for. I was at ice level on the bench closest to the accident, I saw both players moving fast.

2/2 The unintentional clip of the Panther player's leg by the Sheffield player caused the somersault. It's clear to me his actions were unintentional and anyone suggesting otherwise is mistaken. Let's come together and not spread unwarranted hate to someone who needs are support

It doesn't always work like that. It's a very fast game and sometimes the ice does something to you that you struggle to control.Originally posted by falafel View Post

At any rate, I'm sure he didn't mean to murder anybody literally, so no use attributing that to the poor guy, whose life is ruined.
