    2023 NFL Thread

My Browns play the Bengals tomorrow. I have faith haha as long as Watson is close to what he was in Houston. Big upset with the Lions beating the Chiefs on Thursday, but still think in the end KC will be right there.

What are everyone' else's favorite teams on here?

I know of at least one Bengals fan here--the one glaring defect in his character. At least a couple of us are Steelers fans.

      Browns? Ugh….

Steeler fan here and glad I’m in the same division as the browns and bengals as they are both masters at how to lose and lose big.

We cannot expect to experience the blessing of faith by standing inactive on the sidelines any more than we can experience the benefits of health by sitting on a sofa watching sporting events on television and giving advice to the athletes. And yet for some, “spectator discipleship” is a preferred if not primary way of worshipping." -Pres. Uchtdorf

Bengals were due an ass-whipping. Bad karma with all the focus on the Burrow contract on opening weekend. I have a feeling a mediocre season is ahead. I hope I'm wrong.

I’m a casual Raiders fan because I live in Vegas. Before that I rooted for the Bears. I generally don’t have a strong connection to a team unless I’ve lived in the city/state. I like the Cubs because I lived in Chicago for my mission and went to 8-9 games at Wrigley. When the A’s move here I will cheer for them (but I suspect I’ll be more loyal to the Cubs).

So, to answer your question, Raiders.

Very casual Raiders fan, if any team at all, because moving to Grand Junction CO when I was 12 and having the Broncos shoved in my face made me look for their rivals. I enjoy a good NFL game and will usually root for the team with the closest ties to BYU.

Patriots fan here, though my ardor has decreased as of late. And no, it's not because Brady left (well, not the only reason).

Being in Mass in 2001-2007 was a magical time for me. Those were heady days, when super bowls and world series appearances were expected.

The 1985 Bears and the 1984 Cubs were the two biggest sports seasons of my youth, and the Bears' season ended a lot happier.

If you are older than 45 and grew up in Chicago, the 85 Bears are pretty much like a religion. That team transcends all other fandoms and you can easily connect with someone over that team (even a Sox fan!).

So the Bears are my #1, but they haven't done a whole lot lately, so I don't follow them as closely as I once did. I follow the hometown team some (Panthers), but they haven't really been all that exciting either, so more often than not I am just seeking out a game with the Chiefs, Vikings, Bengals, Niners, or whoever has a good game going. Or, much to my wife's annoyance, watching RedZone.

Rodgers injured on first drive. This blows.

Zach did fine, but man, it sucks being a Jets fan.
