To be honest with Ted Leonsis taking over ownership I think the Wizards have a bright future. They needed this pick to start over. They need a lot more help. But Wall and Arenas in the back court seems pretty awesome.

      Hey, how bout that???

It makes the summer a lot more interesting for the Zards, who now may be able to attract a Chris Bosh type player. I personally like Evan Turner a lot, but I'm sure they'll take Wall, which I will learn to be okay with.

Well, because he thought it was good sport. Because some men aren't looking for anything logical, like money. They can't be bought, bullied, reasoned, or negotiated with. Some men just want to watch the world burn.

Just keep the guns out of the locker room, baby. Out of the locker room.

Having lived in the DC area for several years previously, I have watched "les Bullets" flounder time after time, despite all the optimism. I remember people in the halls at work mulling over trade deals that would somehow bring Karl Malone to Washington (get real folks). Then the new arena and name change. Then MJ was going to take the franchise to unforseen heights. Need I go on?

It's one of the bigger crazy sideshows in the NBA.

Yeah would be great, but your first statement seems to make the last one unlikely.

I must have watched a different Turner. His J was the weakest part of his game.

Depends on the J. His midrange jumper is one of the strongest parts of his game. His jumper out past 19 feet...not so much.

I have been very impressed with Turner, especially after he took such a hard fall and came back playing so well. I think he will be a legit contributor in the mold of Brandon Roy. I can't see the Wizards passing up on Wall (aka the next Rondo)

according to the washington post, the Wizards pick combos came up for both the 3rd and 4th picks after they had secured the number 1. Luck was on their side last night,

"How close were the Detroit Pistons to winning the No. 1 pick? The Wizards' winning ping pong ball combination was 8-7-11-4. The Pistons owned 8-7-11-6. They were essentially one ping pong ball away from moving up from No. 7 to No. 1."

How is that any closer than any other numbered ping pong ball?

They ended up with 3 of the 4 correct number sequences. Its like hitting 4 of the 5 numbers in the lottery.
