Did he take any more time off than usual? It seems like every year he golfs that tourney he sponsors a the end of November (Shell Open?) and then shuts it down, competition-wise, until a week or two before the Masters.Originally posted by Surfah View PostTiger 3 under at the turn and he gave back one on a bogey on #7. Can't tell he took any time off.
People act like he didn't pick up golf clubs for the last 4 months, while, in reality, i'm sure he spent quite a bit of time on the course.
I don't think he'll win this week, but I almost feel like people were expecting him to show up with the shanks or something.Prepare to put mustard on those words, for you will soon be consuming them, along with this slice of humble pie that comes direct from the oven of shame set at gas mark “egg on your face”! -- Moss

Tiger is going to have a very makeable eagle put on 13 to put him 4 under.Last edited by Coach McGuirk; 04-08-2010, 02:50 PM.

This is pretty much true. He would have played in Hawaii, then a few of the Cali tourneys. Other than that, He hasn't really missed much golf at all.

I stopped by the local Cox Cable store to check out the 3D broadcast. It was amazing. How cool.
Your TV has to be a 3D-ready model, and from what I understand there are only 2 or 3 manufacturers of 3D ready (panasonic being one of them). The cable broadcast channel looks like any other 3D...blurred, double vision picture. the glasses are the ones with the yellow lenses.
Some of the fairway shots were incredible. The cameras are placed almost at ground level so the fairway itself really jumps off the screen. The golfers feel like they are right in front of you as they address the ball in the tee box. The balls seem to float in front of you as they are smashed off the tee. Another cool shot that they kept showing was of the golfers crossing over the Hogan bridge on 13. The graphics really popped, hanging there in mid-air. I was really impressed. It made watching the game that much more fun.
I would really like to see the NBA playoffs in 3D. Would likely be very cool. If there were some sort of announcement that the NBA playoffs, college football, and the World Series were going to be broadcast in HD 3d, I would go out and get a TV now, I liked it that much.Fitter. Happier. More Productive.

Fred Couples and Tom Watson? Did we get in a hot tub recently?
I regret being such a bad influence on my good friend Donut, I still feel bad for saying the "F" word around him and falafel also.Get confident, stupid

Bodyguards shielding Tiger Woods
confronted a golf fan and accused her of being his porn star mistress, The Sun reported Wednesday.
Guards accompanying Woods on his comeback at the Masters
were given photos of at least a dozen girls with links to the shamed star.
One mistook the attractive fan for X-rated actress and striptease dancer Joslyn James
on Tuesday and approached her asking, "Excuse me, ma'am -- are you the stripper?"
The fan was left speechless until the guard realized his gaffe and apologized.Fitter. Happier. More Productive.

From what I've seen of Tiger's mistresses, the guard's first mistake was looking for attractive women.Originally posted by TripletDaddy View Post

Tom Watson nearly won the British Open last year. He choked on the last putt and deprived me of seeing one of the greatest sporting feats of my lifetime- a 60 year old man winning the British Open (well, he wasn't quite 60 yet). Since he did it last year at the British Open, it's not impossible for him to keep competitive in this tournament.Originally posted by HuskyFreeNorthwest View PostFred Couples and Tom Watson? Among major conferences, the Pac-10 is the best academically, largely because of Stanford, Cal and UCLA. “Colorado is on a par with Oregon,” he said. “Utah isn’t even in the picture.”

There is a big difference between practice rounds (Which from the sounds of it were very limited) and playing in actual tournaments where every shot is pressure packed.Originally posted by Donuthole View PostDid he take any more time off than usual? So what he did today is pretty remarkable. Quite being a hater.*Banned*
