    Bogut

He's really turned the corner this season, as everyone knows. It's been interesting to watch his blocks increase. Through NBA coaching he's quit that crap of trying to take charges all the time, which he did his first couple of seasons, and is really going after blocks. He's much more agressive and it's great to see him succeed.

17.6, 12 and 4 in his last five.

Bogut has become a solid center. I would kill to get him on the Blazers, but he would end up getting injured.

I know a team located at the foot of the Wasatch that could use Bogut. He could have his old room back, too.

Bogut is virtually an AS center at this point.
So Russell...what do you love about music? To begin with, everything.

Bogut is great, I just can't get over my dislike for him. I wouldn't like to see him on the Jazz.

16 ppg, 10 boards, and 2.5 blocks, yep those are definitely allstar numbers at center.

In February he has averaged 17.3 ppg, 11.3 boards, and 2.8 blocks. He shouldn't have been the 1st pick in the draft, but you would have a hard time arguing he should slip outside of the top 5. Williams, Paul, and Granger are probably the only guys from that draft that you would take over Bogut.

I would definitely pick Bogut over Granger.

How many centers in the NBA are definitely better than Bogut? If you don't include Gasol, Bosh and Duncan as centers, then only Dwight Howard is better.
Part of it is based on academic grounds. Among major conferences, the Pac-10 is the best academically, largely because of Stanford, Cal and UCLA. “Colorado is on a par with Oregon,” he said. “Utah isn’t even in the picture.”

I would also pick Bogut over Granger, but I think there is a legit argument for picking Granger over Bogut.

SI did a confidential players poll. Most overrated player voted on by the players was Tracy Mcgrady, number 2 was Danny Granger.

Why? Because of Paul and Williams? Bogut was the safe #1 pick. Look who went #2 - a solid NBA player, sure, but one you can't ride to the playoffs.

I'm not sure I totally agree with this, but it's a solid point. With Bogut, you knew that at worst, you were getting a rebounder and double figure scorer who was a very good passer and an adequate defender. Paul and Williams both had question marks about their games. Paul being very small and his outside shot was questionable. Williams was fat and had a questionable outside shot as well. Bogut had his ???s too, but when in doubt, go big.

mpfunk's an idiot for suggesting that Marvin Williams is a better player than Bogut.

I think he was supposed to be going blind.

Also, remember, though injured, the Bucks thought they drafted their PG of the future in the first round two years earlier.
