I agree that Bogut would have maybe been a better fit, but it's not like he was a better player to the extent that the answer to your proposal is obvious. Heck, I think even Brendan Haywood would be a better fit for the Jazz, but that doesn't necessarily mean he's a better player. And I think people tend to view these things as a player-to-player comparison. So even up until last year (which was actually Memo's best year in the last three), I don't think it was clear-cut that Bogut was better (in fairly comparable minutes Bogut averaged 12/10 and Memo 17/7 -- he also had one of the best shooting years for a guy his size in recent memory).

Fans aren't going to go for a proposal unless it seems like an obvious win for them, and always overvalue their own. This is not unique to Jazz fans. I guess I'm just not sure what result you expected for two players whose production was very similar overall.

(Also, I'm curious as to why Jazz fans on CB agreeing to Bogut-Okur swap is the ultimate sign he's AS caliber, but I guess that's not really important)

So Russell...what do you love about music? To begin with, everything.

Because BYU fans really disliked Bogut when he was at Utah. It would be like a Ute fan wanting to trade for Max Hall for their pro team, the only way they would accept him is if he was a legit player.

Poor Andy. And what a strange fall. He wasn't pushed or hit or anything.

I hadn't heard about this, but it looks like he'll likely be ready for the playoffs.

Actually, I saw this on SC, and I retract my previous comment. The first clip I saw showed it from the front, and you couldn't see anybody make contact with him. On the clip SC used you clearly see Richardson (I think it was Richardson) make contract with him. Not a lot of contact, but it definitely contributed to him getting so off balance.

And given how gruesome that fall looked, I'm shocked that there was such little damage done.

I think it was Amare. He was given a flagrant on the play.

They're reporting this morning that it is a dislocated elbow, broken hand, and maybe even a broken wrist. Listing him as out for the season.

Well, because he thought it was good sport. Because some men aren't looking for anything logical, like money. They can't be bought, bullied, reasoned, or negotiated with. Some men just want to watch the world burn.

That's too bad for the Bucks and Bogut, I wonder if Brandon Jennings is secretly happy because now he gets to take more shots, he seems like that kind of guy.

The guy is out for the season with a dislocated right elbow, sprained wrist, and broken right hand that will require surgery, and you give him a "Poor Andy"? Odd.

Has anyone seen the youtube video from the Bucks broadcast feed? Oh my. It's as bad as the Theismann clip. His elbow blows out 90 degrees the wrong way. I couldn't watch the replay.

Just an unfortunate event all around with that injury. Everything just kind of escalated to cause end the season for Bogut. He had a ton of momentum forward and a slight push by Stoudemire (which I don't think was dirty or an intent to injure and did not deserve a flagrant foul) caused him to swing. It looked like he was trying to hold onto the rim after his body went forward, but he didn't keep a grip on it.

Bogut has had a great season and he is really one of the good guys in the NBA. It is sad to see him get injured like this. Milwaukee was a team that no one wanted to face in the first round, now they are likely an easy team to beat.
