I realize the All Star break is a way to have a mid season break and give some recognition to the top players, but is there really anything more pointless than an All Star game in professional sports (doesn't matter the sport). Just give the guys a mid season break. The games have never had any defense or intensity anyway and the contests are stale, to say the least.

Who will watch the All star game? That is a game I am having a hard time getting into myself. No defense, The Kobe Bryant show sometimes and dull dull dull. A sacrament meeting sports prayer story. I was asked to pray in church when raiders were playing for Super Bowl thought but did not pray for Raider victory. Well All Star Sunday i was asked to pray one year and thought about praying that the all star game would not be the Kobe Bryant show.

I did watch some of the pro bowl. But all star game worst thing to watch in any sport. Anbd I could care less about the Fr So game, Didn't we do that in hs jv. Dunk or three Will watch little if any of the game myself.

kobe bryant is not playing tonight because his ankle is injured, so you should plan on watching and enjoying the NBA All-Star game.

Maybe Deron Willliams will shine. I enjoyed it when I think I can call him Elder Chambers, Tom stole the show and was reserve don't know if he was even supposed to be there but was mvp. I was in grade school then.

Our NBC went out so fuzz but remember the Stockton and Malone show good ones. Hope it does not be a one player show. And thank goodness it will not be the Kobe Bryant show.

Deron Williams lost the skills competition last night making several poor passes in a row, so his opportunity to shine is over.

Williams has looked brilliant during his first 3 minutes in the game. Very strong start for him.

This yeas Dunk contest was atrocious, Reggie Miller was right when he said guys do those dunks at the YMCA in Calabassas all the time.

But the last few years it was very exciting and fun to watch.

All-star game I thought was exciting and kept me intersted. Lebron and Wade were awesome.

Not so brilliant in the last 30 seconds.

The dunk contest should have ended after 2000 when Carter did these dunks. I don't see how it can get any better. So far it hasn't. This weekend's competition was awful and I think LeBron had 3 dunks in the actual AS game that were better than any dunk in that contest.

Yeah, not a good finish. He played well, but the turnovers and the dumb foul late really tainted his overall performance.

He had like 3 horrible turnovers down the stretch. I also wonder if that foul was not on purpose to give the West the chance to hit a game winner.

I thought at first it might have been on purpose but his reaction led me to believe he lost track of the score.

You know what would be much more exciting than watching a bunch of low level NBA players in the dunk contests, get a bunch of streetballers and let them dunk. They are better at it anyway and it might actually be fun to watch. This stuff is better than any of the dunks on Saturday.
