This was my thought as well. If he can maintain himself physically and mentally, he has the tools to get back to a very high level of play. But that is a big "if".

Loved that dude. About what I expected from Tiger yesterday. Can't hit a fairway and it kills him. All day yesterday Faldo is talking about how Tiger is setting up for a little fade and then tries to draw it and just makes a mess of it. Also i thought it was interesting how he said there are 20 guys on tour now who can beat Tiger at his best as compared to only two in his hey day, Els and Mickelsen, who could play with him. In his prime nobody was beating Tiger at his best and he will never be that player again but I think he was just pointing out how much deeper golf is today than it was even ten years ago.

Tiger's chances of making the cut not looking too good at this point. He's tied for 130 at +5. Top 70 make the cut. DJ, Rickie, Day and Matsuyama are also outside of the cut. Phil is right on the line.
Zac Blair is T5 and so is Hunter Mahan (!?).Ain't it like most people, I'm no different. We love to talk on things we don't know about.

Poor CBS, I can just hear Nance now, sorry no Tiger or Dustin for you this weekend but how about some Jonas Blixt and Adam Hadwin. Golf Channel numbers will be higher yesterday and today then they will be for CBS over the weekend.Originally posted by falafel View PostTiger's chances of making the cut not looking too good at this point. Interviewing Tiger Friday about his round he said he struggled but this week wasn't a loss, it's all about getting ready for that week in April. I don't even think he believes he has a chance at Augusta but he must feel like he needs to sound like the old Tiger since he can't play like the old Tiger. He's such a dick.

Tiger withdraws from round 2 of the Dubai Desert Classic. Shot a 77 in round one and looked visibly tight walking down the fairway. Then claimed spasms in his back in round 2 .
So much for all that money Bridgestone and Taylormade threw at him. He can't even stay on the course.Ain't it like most people, I'm no different. We love to talk on things we don't know about.

I'd hate to see what the News of the World could come up with, if the AP and the NY Post can use that one.

L5-S1 fusion. Yuck. Better than a multi-level, of course, but any lumbar fusion is going to be really tough to come back from for a golfer, IMO. I wonder if hostile has any thoughts.Originally posted by falafel View PostTiger out for season again, has fourth back surgery in four years.

"The surgery went well, and I'm optimistic this will relieve my back spasms and pain," Woods said in a statement on his website. I think he should just be honest with himself and say he's done. He's had a twenty year run and he was never going to play the Senior Tour.
