The Jets' pick also could be a "I'm Keith Hernandez" moment. I think Jerry Hughes could have been the better pick for them.

I don't quite understand what makes Dez Bryant such a bad guy. I know he got in trouble with the NCAA, but the way people ran away from him you could swear he was the second coming of Lawrence Phillips. The Cowboys stole him away from everyone else.

Mel Kiper ripping on the Niners was pretty funny (three first rounders on the "o-line?"). The Jets picked two o-linemen in the first round two years ago and they went from bottom dwellers to the AFC championship in two years. That was due in no small part to the ability to run the ball at will. They already have a very good tackle in Joe Staley and now Anthony Davis, a guy who many thought was the second best tackle in the draft, joins him. The Niners already have a good defense that's only getting better.
Part of it is based on academic grounds. Among major conferences, the Pac-10 is the best academically, largely because of Stanford, Cal and UCLA. “Colorado is on a par with Oregon,” he said. “Utah isn’t even in the picture.”

Well Cromartie is a wild card and he's only there for this year IIRC so Wilson is insurance in case he loses it or leaves after this year.

Is Ned Colleti running the Broncos?
Ned Colleti isn't even that stupid.

You were hoping for someone good to be drafted. That was the goal, something Denver has never done here.

I promise you one thing, a lot of good will come out of this. You will never see any player in the entire country play as hard as I will play the rest of the season. You will never see someone push the rest of the team as hard as I will push everybody the rest of the season. You will never see a team play harder than we will the rest of the season.

          God bless.
Let's be honest. This wasn't too far off.

One of the things I like about the new prime time format is the teams can collect themselves after the first round and there's quite a bit of intrigue into what everyone's going to do at the top of the second because of some guys falling out of the first. Half of the teams in the league are trying to figure out how to move up for either Jimmy Clausen, Sergio Kindle or Taylor Mays.

The Vikings are sitting there with the second pick in the second round. The Vikings have Favre and nothing behind him. Clausen seems like a great value pick for the Vikings here. Buffalo and Cleveland both desperately need QBs and both pick high in the second, so I'm wondering if they'll make a move.

I'd love for Kindle or Mays to fall to the Niners, both are positions of need (somewhat, but CB is a bigger need). Unfortunately, Kindle could possibly be the hottest commodity of all in the second round and he'll be gone by the first 3-4 picks tonight. Mays won't last past the Raiders' pick. I'm predicting Chris Cook, CB/S, out of Virginia. There was a real run on CBs in the first round (five were taken), although I like the Iupati pick, Kyle Wilson would have been great at #17.

How cheap are the Broncos? They took all of the #15 Brandon Marshall jerseys in the team store, took the stiching out of his last name and put Tebow in the spot where Marshall was.

                lol.

I have to confess: I've been watching the clock today to see when/if I get to watch HL implode again. Too bad the Broncos traded away so many picks to move up to get Tebow.

Are you serious? That is lame as hell.

I actually think the Lions had a solid first round and they had a good draft last year. Jim Schwartz is turning that team around.

It's kinda weird, I agree, but why would you let all that inventory go to waste?

Hey now. The Broncos are dead to me unless something happens late tomorrow. That is the only way I cheer for them.

Tampa Bay goes DT in back to back rounds. Brian Price is a first round talent. They probably should have found some wide out help though.

It is so stinking hilarious to hear people boo Dan Marino and Drew Brees. It's also fun to hear all the insulting commentary from the ESPN people. This is great television.
