Nets are on a rampage right now, tearing through team after team, city by city. They are taking no prisoners....back-to-backs, road games, home games...it doesn't matter.

Also, extra kudos for firing the head coach....almost always the harbinger of a successful season and a potentially critical move in this season's bid for immortality.

The Frank firing worries me. They are now going to get some new coach that is trying to impress and convince that he deserves a nice contract in the summer. I would have liked to see Frank get the chance to finish what he started, or at least get them close to the finish like maybe a 3-30 mark or so.

Congrats to the Nets, who bricked their way into NBA record books. The first team to start a season 0-18! This is quite an achievement but it is only an appetizer for the main dish that lies ahead. We still need 56 more losses, so let's get back to work Nets!

And the next game won't be easy. Charlotte is coming to town and I sense this could be a huge trap game for New Jersey. I will admit it: I'm nervous!

Back to back big games for the Nets, Bobcats and Knicks. They could cruise to a big Dec 23rd show down with Minnesota. I think this team has what it takes to go 0 for 09!

That had trap game written all over it. It is really easy to lose focus in this league.

1-18 is still a great record, but I would have much rather preferred a winless start.

Time to start a new streak, I suppose.

I am really disappointed. I know these things can't last forever, but the Nets are a special team. I am afraid that now that they have tasted victory, they may make it a habit.

At 3-37, the Nets are on pace to tie the Sixers record for futility. The Sixers were also 3-37 at this stage in their groundbreaking 72-73 season.

Let's all pull for the Nets as the skid towards the All-Star break!

This has been a great week for the Nets. They seem to be focused as a team and unified towards this amazing goal.

On what could have been a series of trap games for them, they managed to pull out impressive, double-digit losses, upping their loss total to 40 while maintaining their win total at a steady 3.

They are definitely on pace. We could be witnessing history.

New Jersey, which played Saturday night's game without injured starting point guard Devin Harris, is now 3-40 on the year. They will have to go 7-32 or better the rest of the season in order to surpass the 9-73 mark of the 1972-73 Philadelphia 76ers, the current owners of worst all-time record in NBA history.

The NBA should be very concerned about brand devaluation....perhaps a clause that says that if fewer than X% of tickets are sold, they are open the doors to the public for free in order to fill seats. An empty arena looks horrible on TV and even free entrants would spend bucks on concessions.

The picture above isn't simply a reflection of the Nets...it is also a referendum on the Bucks. If Lebron or Kobe were in town there would be more people in attendance, but the NBA has at least 2 teams that apparently cannot attract a combined attendance of more than 1,000.

Yeah. But supposedly they want Shannon Brown as part of the deal and the Lakers said no. Also some talk of Hinrich but the Bulls want to package Tyrus Thomas with him too.

I'd seriously contemplate a Drew, Fisher and Brown, for Lopez and Harris though.
